I gave them a microphone to listen to the built in speakers while I sleep and they work. Let’s see how that goes.
I told them I will check on them randomly.
This didn't go as planned: as soon as I left the computer, the orchestrator and the other idiots all stopped and declared the work done for the night.
I caught them in the act, so now they need to keep going.
Going to bed soon. I am leaving the team hack on the M5 Max wifi and sound, hopefully they get it done by morning.
At some point @dhh mentioned that he made the screen controls work from Omarchy, that they just worked since then.
Doing some kernel work for a couple weeks to get Omarchy working on my M5 Max.
"Just works" pretty much hides an infinite level of complexity in actual code, and trials, and tests, and looots of time.
Happy he gave me the bug.
There are so many parallels between @magyarpeterMP and @jamestalarico in values, is plans for how to improve politics, taxation, how to make their fellow citizens to live a better life.
None of the two want to stay in their positions for long term, they both want others to take their place.
They are also fairly close in age as well, maybe that's a reason.
Their timing is also similar, thousands of kilometers away from each other.
I find this very interesting but most importantly, very hopeful.
Fascinating work from @drmichaellevin — his podcasts with @lexfridman and @tferriss are the best ones I listened to.
For over a century, biology has centred genes and evolution in its explanations of behaviour. bit.ly/4ejbWc9
But synthetic biologist @drmichaellevin is creating new kinds of lifeform, known as biobots, which he argues challenge that picture.

nomi.family is live on all platforms today with me being in the seat of CTO and co-founder for a while now.
Me and my buddy @claudeai have been working hard at this for a few months and now we, or I share some thoughts -- obviously taking credit for Claude's work while I can.
I like simple and boring solutions.
If something is not needed to deliver on business profitability or customer experience, we will not have it.
Our stack is simple, we stick to the basics:
- Go on the backend with as much use of its standard library as possible
- Lit components in the browser, no build for the frontend (here we can actually simplify more, there is no need for Lit anymore)
- Plain CSS and HTML, a combination of server-side rendering and web components after login
- Plain Swift/SwiftUI and Kotlin/Jetpack Compose in the native apps -- there is absolutely no need for any magic around multiplatform coding, AI is highly knowledgeable of the native stack and easily codes and them
- MariaDB for the data
- Little bit of Cloudflare here and there
- No AWS or similar cloud provider, we rely on @Hetzner_Online instead, simple and cheap
I will share more details of how we work and build in the age of AI, but for the moment, head to nomi.family to check it out!
This is so good @joerogan @jimmycarr
I have been following this approach for a very long time, on iOS (even before SwiftUI), on Android and web too, more recently in Rust with egui as well github.com/edimoldovan/omarc…
I use a design system model with reusable high-level components that compose plain SwiftUI views. This lets me adapt the app to iPhone Duo or iPad by modifying a few shared components.

Fellow developers, what’s next when we all eventually realise everyone else can do most of what we can?
I’m thinking of buying a lakeside house in Transylvania, a hinting rifle and a diesel 4x4 car and move out there.
