My heartfelt condolences to the entire Rujoki family on the passing of Mukuru Verinah Rujoki.
She was far more than the matriarch of a remarkable family. She was a pillar of her community, a woman of great wisdom and leadership, and a mother to so many beyond her own children. Her home, her heart and her counsel were open to all.
Her passing is not merely a loss to her family, but to an entire community whose lives she touched and helped shape.

It is with a deeply broken heart that I announce the passing of my beloved mother, Mukuru Verinah Rujoki.
Losing a mother leaves a pain words cannot express and a void no one can fill. Her love, sacrifices and memories will forever remain engraved in our hearts.
Though she is gone, her legacy will live on.

We are pleased to have successfully represented our client @mtnug before the Court of Appeal in a landmark telecommunications and competition law dispute between itself and EzeeMoney Uganda Limited. ulii.org/en/akn/ug/judgment/…
The Court has overturned findings of statutory liability under the Uganda Communications Act, arising from alleged abuse of market dominance, and reduced damages from UGX 2.3 billion to UGX 300 million.
Importantly, the dispute arose before the enactment of the National Payment Systems Act, 2020, underscoring the distinction between telecommunications and payment services regulation.

MTN Uganda was cleared of liability under the Communications Act but held liable for wrongful interference with EZEE Money’s contracts, with damages reduced to UGX 300 million.
