Hot take: JT > Chase Brown objectively
At the same time we can recognize trading a 1st for a 27 y/o RB making $20M+ annually that currently averages FEWER Missed Tackles Forced per rush than CB would be foolish.
Be real: Bengals run game has other issues a new RB doesn't fix

Polymarket is taking bets on whether the seven Cornell students accused of raping a student will receive a felony sex crime charge.
Among the athletes endorsing Polymarket:
LeBron James, Derek Jeter, Eli Manning, Sue Bird, Reggie Bush and Richard Sherman.
Multiple NFL owners involved in prostitution, sexual harassment, fraud, shady business practices, etc.
Yet, every week there’s people complaining about Irsay-Gordon trying to earnestly learn more about the game and calling her a distraction. Wild stuff
NEW: On Colts owner Carlie Irsay-Gordon's sideline presence. A few points in this piece:
1) Agree or disagree, this WILL continue.
2) Has it achieved the stated goal?
3) Was initially jarring when she began in 2020, but is generally a non-issue now.

Why is he doing all of this?
He had the greatest reputation you could have as a former coach that kicked everyone’s ass, and he’s committing bi-weekly self-immolation?
NEW: Nick Saban on NIL and boosters causing more head coach firings in College Football:
"The cause and effect of paying players is we’re raising money from alumni who now think they should have a say in what happens, and that’s why 33 coaches got fired last year."

Between the penalties and the injuries it’s been a bumpy start to the NFL season
if you watched the NFL and thought something didn't feel right, you're not alone:
#1 most flags in over a decade
thru 4 weeks, refs are impacting the most CRITICAL moments of games most:
#1 most red zone penalties per game by offenses in history
#1 most penalties on 3rd/4th downs in the second half of games in history
and 17 touchdowns nullified by penalty! (vs only 5 in 2025 & 4 in 2024)
Refs are impacting the most important moments of games unlike we've ever seen before in the NFL, and even some of the coaches are speaking up

Joe Burrow had a 94th percentile Total EPA in a loss to the Steelers in Week 3
Burrow leads all quarterbacks with 5 losses in games where the QB produced a 90th+ percentile Total EPA since 2020, per @SumerSports. No other QB has more than 2 such losses
What is the story of the #Bengals defense through 2 weeks?
"Less is more"
#Cincinnati is last in blitz rate (13.1%) and deploy light boxes at the highest rate in the NFL (68.5%) per @SumerSports
Despite that they rank:
🔸2nd in Run Stuff %
🔸6th in TFL %
🔸9th in pressure %
