It isn’t. It scripts calls into compiled code with a type system. JavaScript controls a browser. (node is literally the same system just controlling file system and sockets through those libraries). Python is just an interpreter running scripts to control rust and c libraries. Scripting languages are interpreted and most don’t have real type systems. This is an easy distinction to make and obviously true. You can try and make your scripting language identify as a programming language. That doesn’t make it true. And given the majority of people whom use these aren’t good coders and are vibing everything now, these languages won’t be around much longer. Especially when wasm has direct control of the DOM.
