In Belfast’s yards the great ship rose,
Steel plates and rivets, dreams in rows.
They named her Titanic, queen of the sea,
And swore no wave could conquer thee.
From Southampton’s docks one April day

I actually find this interesting because celebrities are expected to turn every interview into a perfectly polished moment, even when they have nothing interesting to say about their personal lives.
Amanda Seyfried choosing to talk about emus, Halloween, apple pie and olives instead is a reminder that not every question deserves a personal answer. Sometimes, people just want to keep certain parts of their lives to themselves.
And honestly, her laughing at her own response afterward makes the whole thing even more relatable. Not every awkward moment needs damage control.

My boyfriend and I are staying with friends, and last night something happened that I honestly don’t know how to feel about.
Our friends were in the next room, and the girl was REALLY drunk. I could hear her and her boyfriend having sex, and for some reason, it got into my head more than I expected.
I’m not even going to pretend I wasn’t turned on. I was.
I ended up standing outside their bedroom, listening, and touching myself until I came.
And the worst part? I enjoyed it.
But afterward, I felt weirdly guilty, even though I didn’t touch either of them or interrupt what they were doing.
My boyfriend had gone out to listen, too, so now I’m wondering if I should tell him what I did or just pretend the whole thing never happened.
Because why am I feeling guilty about something that happened in private when nobody even knows?
Or maybe I’m only feeling guilty because I know how strange it sounds when I say it out loud.

When we finally pulled apart, he whispered, “This is going to complicate everything.”

Last year, my manager asked me to cover for a senior colleague who was going on leave. I took on their workload alongside my own, stayed late to fix problems, and delivered a major project before the deadline.
My manager thanked me and said the team couldn’t have done it without me.
