Three years ago this month, my son was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at age 4. Since then, insulin, alarms, site changes, finger sticks and blood sugar decisions have become part of every day—and every night.
As he gets older, he asks @morganb and I harder questions. He tells us he wishes he didn’t have diabetes. He asks what would happen to him if we just stopped doing all of it. The heartbreaking truth is that insulin keeps him alive.
This November, Team Brooks is walking for @BreakthroughT1D (formerly JDRF), helping fund research toward better treatments and, ultimately, a cure.
Our friends and online community have helped us raise about $15,000 in each of the last two years. We’re hoping to do it again.
If you’re able to donate, we would be incredibly grateful. We want the day to come when Brooks says,
“I wish I didn’t have diabetes,”
and we can finally tell him:
“Don’t worry. This isn’t forever.” 💙
From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

Happy 14th anniversary @morganb. Convincing you to marry me is still the best decision I’ve ever made. Thanks for being my person. ❤️🔥
Y’all… don’t make me come out of Twitter retirement. I’ve been behaving myself for months. Let’s keep it that way. 😅

Insurance denied my kid’s short-acting insulin because they already approved a long-acting one. That’s like approving the left shoe and denying the right. He needs both! He’s a child with Type 1 diabetes.
What’s the concern here? That I’m running an underground insulin ring?

Too many companies care more about themselves than their users. Today, we are making Opendoor available to all homeowners, including the ones that want to work with agents.

I was fortunate to spend four days in Genoa a few years ago with locals as my tour guide. It is indeed worth a stop, especially if you’ve visited all of the European “hits”.

Our Financial Open House is tomorrow at 2 PT / 5 ET.
We will have a fun pre-show starting about ~20 minutes earlier *just* on @X and @RobinhoodApp. Why? Because fun is important for business.
Actual call itself will be available everywhere else.
The best is yet to come!
Last night we received the Story Stock of the Year and Breakout Ticker at @Stocktwit’s CashTag awards. But this isn't about us - it's about the Open Army and everyday investors who believe in what Opendoor can and should be, and how you've rallied to champion homeownership for Americans.
While awards are fun, the real work is still tilting the world in favor of homeowners. The people who believe in our mission are the fuel to get us there.
Onward.
❤️🤍💙
One other thing I want to highlight for our veterans is the great work being done by Open Army member @a32m2a32m2, and especially his wife, Kelly.
Kelly is a Navy veteran who is racing to raise funds for veteran well-being through the Soaring Eagles program with Team Red, White & Blue. It’s a community built by veterans, for veterans, focused on staying active, connected, and resilient long after service.
This kind of work matters. It creates real support systems for people who have given so much, and helps ensure they continue to thrive in the next chapter of their lives.
@erikab and I are proud to support Team RWB.
If you’re up for it, take a look, cheer her on, and help amplify this effort:

All of this!
Opendoor exists to deliver the American Dream.
We are a software company. The homes are real and the transactions are real, but our leverage comes from engineers writing code and machines that price assets more accurately than humans, that compress months of back-and-forth into days, that handle the routine so people can handle the irreplaceable.
We want buying or selling a home with Opendoor to feel the way it should. One offer. One mortgage. One timeline. One close. No PhD in real estate, no strangers on Sunday, no months of not knowing.
That's the product roadmap we're building against now.
Someone today got an offer on their terms and moved on their timeline. Not when a buyer happened to appear, but when they were ready. That's the whole point. That's what all of this is for.
This isn't just about selling. The same friction makes buying hard and financing harder still. We're building across all of it. Not patching an old process, but rebuilding it from the ground up to be the way it always should have been.
Simple, fast, and unencumbered, so the hassle is never the reason someone can't move forward.
This is true. I held off for a long time and now that we have it at home, I am miserable without it when we travel.
Easily our favorite tech product in our house. It’s the thing @erikab & I recommend the most. Congrats!! 🎉

BREAKING: Inside Opendoor w/ CEO Kaz Nejatian
On earnings day, @nejatian opened the doors to Sourcery to go under the hood of the public turnaround of a company once trading at ~$0.50 & facing delisting risk
6 months in.
$1 salary.
Up to $2.8B in performance equity.
All gas, no brakes
I toured the office, sat in on a product meeting, BTS of the livestream, & recorded our long-form interview where Kaz shares openly how they’re rebuilding @Opendoor in public
(with the help of the $OPEN army, of course)
This was unlike anything I'd ever seen before.
Big thank you to the Opendoor team for letting me in!

I’m so proud of the hard work and heart that @morganb put into this commercial. I was fortunate enough to be privy to all of the steps along the way and to see the final result—well I think it conveys *exactly* why Opendoor should be the first and only choice for anyone selling their home.
Because saying goodbye should be the hardest part.
I'm excited to share The Hardest Part - our first campaign that celebrates Opendoor’s mission to tilt the world in favor of homeowners.
A home holds birthdays, first steps, late nights, quiet mornings.
Selling it isn’t just a transaction. It’s a goodbye to a chapter of your life.
We make the process simple, so the only hard part left is saying goodbye.
