The Minister of Colleges and Universities says the audit of OSAP underway by KPMG won't be made public. I asked him why the audit being done with taxpayer money about how other taxpayer money was spent shouldn't be shared. ctvnews.ca/toronto/politics/…

It's a good day to remember that Doug Ford is a self declared 'Big Republican' and an 'Unwavering supporter of Donald Trump' All his words not mine.

Google is trying to use its monopoly power to force AI into our public schools. No corporation should have the power to dictate how we teach our children.  Our public schools exist to serve students, not to grow the profit margins of Big Tech. nytimes.com/2026/11/03/us/go…

NEW: We have a copy of a letter sent to newly-elected trustees at school boards under Ford government supervision, laying out the sweeping restrictions they will face when they are sworn in later this month. This comes after the education minister accused some incoming trustees of trying to circumvent the rules. Paul Calandra is defending the restrictions, saying parliament is "the ultimate voice of the people."

In @MarkJCarney's world, it's OK if you're harmed by pesticides. It just sucks to be you if you get cancer or Parkinson's from them. Carney represents the corporations who make and sell pesticides, not regular people. nationalobserver.com/2026/10…

Prime Minister @MarkJCarney is hoping the EU will let Canadian industries emit more carbon into the atmosphere than their EU competitors. He's hoping, it seems, that his "new" alliance with the EU will come with an exemption from EU law, in particular the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism. Carney is determined to not let addressing the climate heating crisis and all the harm it visits on regular Canadians get in the way of making the wealthiest wealthier. Seems, however, if Carney wants a future alliance with EU he's going to have stop Canada being one of the world's worst CO2 emitters and take seriously addressing the climate heating crisis. So far Carney seems bent on changing laws and denying rights in Canada to make polluting easier. Canadians cannot count on Ottawa to protect them from climate heating, but maybe they can rely on Brussels. theenergymix.com/carbon-bord…

We are talking about $385 million lost to potential fraud under the watch of the Ford government. The people of Ontario deserve answers. MPP Tyler Watt and I called on the Auditor General to investigate the oversight of OSAP spending at seven private career colleges. The Ford Conservatives voted it down. The Auditor General needs to get involved now. #onpoli

What stage of Capitalism is this when Big Tech's $3.3 trillion in future spending commitments is kept off the balance sheets? Risk masking. Tech Shadow banking. Borrowing from the year 2040.
BREAKING: Alphabet, $GOOGL, Meta, $META, Microsoft, $MSFT, Amazon, $AMZN, and Oracle, $ORCL, have now disclosed a record $3.3 trillion in future spending commitments. These are off-balance-sheet commitments covering data-center spending, future equipment purchases, leases, and other obligations. $GOOGL accounts for the largest amount at $1.06 trillion, with its disclosed commitments surging nearly +700% over the last year. $META follows at $866 billion, with nearly half tied to data-center leases that have not yet commenced and payment periods extending up to 30 years. Meanwhile, Microsoft, $MSFT, has $593 billion in commitments, followed by Amazon, $AMZN, at $453 billion, and Oracle, $ORCL, at $322 billion. The AI infrastructure buildout is creating an unprecedented pipeline of future financial obligations.

Once the UCP in Alberta gerrymanders a district like this, there’s no going back. The precedent is set and the cycle begins. Democracy in the province will rot even faster than it’s rotting now. Draw the battle lines and dig in for a fight, because this one matters.

Privatization always increases the cost of goods and services. The privatization of pretty well everything has everything to do with the unaffordability crisis. The first step to making things affordable again is to start renationalizing everything that was privatized...
