Hello, Ms. Setmayer, I've been seeing people quote-tweet your comment all day. At first, I brushed it off as typical social-media derangement. Then I saw you double down: "This isn't about messaging. This is how I feel, and I won't apologize for it." So I looked you up, expecting to find an Uber driver or a random influencer. Instead, I found a resume that perfectly captures everything broken about America’s ruling class. Communications Director in the House of Representatives, 2006–2013. Then a member of the American Enterprise Institute, one of Washington's oldest and most influential foreign policy NGOs, famous for giving intellectual cover to Iraq, Afghanistan, and every "democracy promotion" venture since. Then, board member of Stand Up Republic, the "pro-democracy" group founded by Evan McMullin, funded through Arabella's dark-money network, and which conveniently paid McMullin's own LLC over $200,000 in "consulting" and "advertising" fees. After that, CNN contributor. Then Senior Advisor to The Lincoln Project, where you remained after its scandal broke... right up until 2024. Now, somehow, that path earns you the title of Resident Fellow at the Harvard Institute of Politics. And your new PAC, the Seneca Project, pulled in over half a million dollars last year alone. This isn't just about one absurd comment. No, a woman vetted by Harvard, CNN, and AEI sincerely comparing Trump-era construction to an act of terrorism isn't an accident. It's a symptom of how unserious, insulated, and toxic the "defenders of democracy" class has become. You represent the performative elite consensus that destroyed public trust in every institution it touched. And let's be honest: if anyone but Trump had approved those renovations, you'd be calling it "historic restoration." Your tribe is no longer about "democracy." It has become a closed loop of technocrats and oligarches. We're catching onto you.

Last but not least @SteveFulop4Gov another @GoldmanSachs incompetent just like @joncorzine & @PhilMurphy. We all know all to well what those 2 did to the finances of the state. No matter what you think of the republicans running they are so far superior to the opposition this election shouldn’t be close. We unite, we vote, we win.#NJDeservesBetter #FlipNJRed

If NJ doesn’t get a Republican Governor you have @MikeCrispi to thank. Everyone who has been tired of what feels like fighting between conservatives in NJ stemmed from his tantrum because he was mad that he didn’t get the support he wanted for his future run for Congress. He has gathered a group of his most scummy friends to attack regular people and then plays stupid when they defend themselves. They’ve doxxed me, attacked my job, my children, my character, my photos, my videos, made up stories that weren’t true all because I called him out for lying about a poll in December and continuously making up things that aren’t true. Mike is from NY, went to school in NC, and he came to NJ to run for office in places he thought he could win and couldn’t. He’s taken out his anger on this state by trying to burn it down and it’s absolute insanity. Mike Crispi belongs in a psych ward. Enough is enough.

I have to address the trashing of Kash and Dan. Caveat: I have not spoken to Dan since he left the show, I've only texted with him about things not at all related to work. This is going to take a minute so bear with me. When we first started the radio show, we had 2 months to put everything together: the production elements, discussion of how it was going to work, putting the clock together, recording bumpers, etc. We then had a week of practice before going on the air. When we hit the air, it took months of angst and tinkering, and making changes before we finally hit our stride. And do you know what we didn't have? A cabal of people lined up working against our success, in fact trashing us at every turn. That's something we didn't have to face. So, then Dan decides to leave his highly successful, multi-million dollar job, while launching a new network, to take a job in the government, giving up a lot of money, family time, and freedom to try to do what he's talked about on the podcast and the radio, at a great risk to his reputation if the status quo was to remain. Who does that? I'll, tell you who: A guy who has talked about a problem for years and wants to be involved in stopping it. So why have you "seen no results?" Kash has been there 6 weeks and Dan's been there a month. Ask yourself, if you took the job, what are the first things you're doing overseeing an organization with 38,000 people, with half to more than half determined to sabotage everything you want to do? You don't know who they are yet, you don't know what they're doing to sabotage you, you have scores of investigations open, millions of documents and data to go through, you're getting emails and reports from so many people, you have to decipher what is real and what is not, and you've only had less than a month? Does this sound like the ideal situation to jump into after you've run your own businesses the way you wanted because you were in charge and knew the people you worked with and if they were loyal to you or not? Do you want the agency run the way it was, not paying attention to the rule of law, not having the evidence you need to prosecute someone, just doing it because it will feed the base red meat only to blow up in your face within months, weeks or days? Does this sound like a recipe to have immediate action taken against individuals or entities just because you've been waiting for it? If you want to assume you should this is what he took the job for, giving up everything he's had to give up, you're delusional and you really don't want to see any real lasting change made. How can I be certain of all this? Because I know him. And I know the kind of person is. And I know he's working to improve the agency, the government and the country because he loves it and is a real patriot and he would not have taken the job unless he could effect some real change. Don't think he's not working every single day to do just that, and not for him, because he didn't need this. He's doing this for you.
