The truth is that life was brutal and harsh for almost everyone in the 1800s.
"Yes it was brutal and harsh. And it gave my ancestors the chance to earn a wage, acquire property, receive an education and benefit from healthcare- all possible thanks to the British Empire."
My ancestors worked as indentured labourers under the British Empire in Mauritius in the 1800s.
Yes it was brutal and harsh.
And it gave my ancestors the chance to earn a wage, acquire property, receive an education and benefit from healthcare- all possible thanks to the British Empire.
We cannot keep teaching our young people a one-sided view of history.
I trace the history in my book, ‘Patriot: Empire, betrayal and hope’.

Selective virtue is fake virtue
It's obvious that people who only pretend to care about slavery when they can use that to blackmail others have no moral principles.
The goal of the left is wealth redistribution. If slavery apologies can help with that then they'll harness it.

“A review of 104 studies found little evidence that demographic diversity makes scientific teams more productive or influential: Only 15-28% of reported results clearly supported the idea, while most found no effect or the opposite.”

Great minds like Richard Feynman believed in freedom of the individual and limited government.
Richard Feynman on government and freedom ✍️
I hope for freedom for future generations-- freedom to doubt, to develop, to continue the adventure of finding out new ways of doing things, of solving problems.
We are not so smart. We are dumb. We are ignorant. We must maintain an open channel. I believe in limited government. I believe that government should be limited in many ways, and what I am going to emphasize is only an intellectual thing. ...
No government has the right to decide on the truth of scientific principles, nor to prescribe in any way the character of the questions investigated. Neither may a government determine the aesthetic value of artistic creations, nor limit the forms of literary or artistic expression. Nor should it pronounce on the validity of economic, historic, religious, or philosophical doctrines. Instead it has a dutv to its citizens to maintain freedom, to let those citizens contribute to the further adventure and the development of the human race.

“don’t listen to the experts.” probably the best explanation about the changes being realized from AI and why they’re smashing the experts’ narratives.
Expert predictions about AI progress have been stunningly inaccurate

It's almost impossible for me to believe that this silencing of my right to speak freely is rampant in
England now, as if we were living in an authoritarian
country
The British Government is preparing an apparatus of internet censorship without parallel in the modern era.
At the UN, Andy Burnham announced the creation of a National Centre for Information Defence — Labour’s Ministry of Truth.
The Prime Minister says the centre will protect us from hostile foreign powers such as Russia, which he accused of spreading lies and disinformation about Britain, amplifying “far-right narratives” and interfering in our democracy.
But the real purpose is to suppress dissent and silence those who criticise the Government or express views about the state of the country that run counter to Labour’s prevailing progressive orthodoxy.
FSU Director of Policy and Research David Rose has written a new briefing examining the threadbare research the Government has used to justify its plans. The Government is clutching at straws — and, ironically, already spreading misinformation about the threat of misinformation.
It has ignored a wealth of evidence from leading academics to push ahead with its new censorship regime.
Burnham’s Government is putting Britain in the same league as some of the world’s most authoritarian powers.

People can’t be fooled forever and eventually wake up to the con that is Marxism.

Marxists successfully completed a "long march" through the institutions. Now they control the universities and museums, plus "official" history websites, media, and book publishers. They won!
But they didn't reckon with people simply deciding no longer to trust official sources.

🇯🇵 No, BBC. We are not "struggling with our identity" in Japan. It is you who is struggling with your identity.
We know who we are. We are Japanese. We are not Muslims. We have temples and shrines. We do not have mosques.
We will never forget who we are even if you do.
Without the possibility of profit, there is no incentive to try out new ideas that may generate losses if unsuccessful. It is always profit & loss together.
Nehru: "Never talk to me about the word profit, it is a dirty word."
Lee Kuan Yew: "You make profit into a dirty word and Singapore dies."
Real GDP per capita annual growth:
- India during Nehru's tenure: 1.9%
- Singapore during Lee Kuan Yew's tenure: 6%
Profit and loss is the mechanism by which prosperity can happen.
Seeing the riots in France and the terrible state of the French economy made me think of this 🔥 speech by Lee Kuan Yew.
"Look at the buildings around you. Look at the stock market bouncing up.
Let me tell you how to bring it down. Have a couple of really good riots, shake political confidence."
On top of that, the French economy is collapsing. Only one in three French people works in the real economy. Two-thirds live off other people’s taxes. The entire system is completely unsustainable due to absurd pensions and runaway state spending.
At the end of the clip, Lee says:
"My political opponent says that we are 'obsessed with profits'
I say 'YES! That’s how Singapore survives.'
If you have no profit, who pays for all of this?
If you make profit into a dirty word.. Singapore dies!”
Beyond mass migration, this is how Western Europe is dying btw.

The immigration debate has become far too black and white.
You’re either told there are no cultural tensions, or that entire groups are inherently incompatible.
The truth is more uncomfortable: numbers matter, culture matters, and integration matters. For immigration to work you need a strong national culture and a genuine expectation that newcomers integrate. Otherwise you get ghettoisation, parallel communities and growing social tension.

These charts are *designed* to make the blame problem look worse for men. When you normalize the y-axis, it is clear that the problem is way worse with Democratic women.
26% of young Republican men blame their problems on women.
66% of young Democratic women blame their problems on men.

He's basically been jailed without trial.
They're calling him "far right". He's essentially a political prisoner at this point. They've remanded him in custody until March 2027. He'll spend Christmas in jail. The process is the punishment.
