Our @HPE_Labs intern @ali19tariq is presenting paper on "Accelerating containerized ML workloads" at #NOMS2024 noms2024.ieee-noms.org/ Co-authored with @lianjiecao @farazahmd9 and @erozner
Congrats to newly-minted Dr. @ShazalIrshad, my first PhD student to graduate! I'm really proud of all the great work he did. Shazal investigated how combining wireless and computer vision technologies can improve network management, indoor localization, and user privacy. Kudos!

Congrats to my student @ShazalIrshad for winning Best Paper Award at IEEE WoWMoM'23 for his work “A Picture is Worth 1,000 Millimeters: Combining Vision and Wi-Fi to Improve Localization." We show video camera data can improve Wi-Fi localization in practical environments.
This is joint work with Cisco Meraki and the result of lots of hard work by Shazal (he captured over 100k wireless readings). The paper can be found online:

I am very excited (and still a bit shocked!) to receive a 2021 Google PhD Fellowship in Systems and Networking. A huge thanks to my advisor @erozner for all of his support so far! research.google/outreach/phd…
PROUD ADVISOR MOMENT!!! My PhD student Erika Hunhoff (@hunhoffe) has been awarded a prestigious @GoogleAI PhD Fellowship! Erika crafted an amazing proposal to investigate how serverless frameworks can reduce application latencies via novel resource management techniques.
Continuing our tradition of supporting outstanding graduate students in their pursuit of research in computer science and related fields, we congratulate our 13th annual PhD Fellowship Program recipients! See the list of 2021 Fellowship recipients below: goo.gle/3zCuHA3
