🔥 END OF AN ERA 🔥
How do you describe Jess Fishlock?
The Welsh midfield maestro brought her incredible 24-year career to a close on Sunday as Seattle Reign lost 1-0 to Gotham FC in the NWSL Play-Offs.
It marked the closing chapter of a storied career both on the domestic and international stage. She has been a talismanic figure for the Reign for 14 seasons, winning the NWSL Shield 3 times and finishing Championship runner-up on 3 occasions.
Outside the USA, she has 2 Eredivisie titles, 3 A-League titles and one Division 1 Féminine title along with two Champions League winner's medals, one Coupe de France and an FA Cup runners-up medal.
On the international stage, Fishlock was the beating heart of Wales for almost two decades and helped take them to their first ever major tournament in 2025. She retired that October with 166 caps.
A career to be extremely proud of. We can't wait to see what you do next ❤️

FOREVER AN NWSL LEGEND 👑🐉
After 14 seasons in the NWSL, Jess Fishlock says goodbye to professional football. The 39-year-old and 3x NWSL Shield winner has been a pioneer of the club and the league, joining in 2013 during their inaugural season. Fishlock has given it her all and will always be an important part of women's soccer history. Thank you, Jess 💙

Jess Fishlock comes off in the 74th minute, and it might be the last time we see her after 13 years with the Seattle Reign. Seattle needs an equalizer at minimum to extend Fishlock's career. She and the Reign have hung in this game and pressed in the second half. #NWSL

These people are in tents because of our tax dollars, our bombs, the absolute moral failure of both parties to act towards justice or to even follow the desires of their own constituents.
Gaza: 70,000 tents flooded within 12 hours of the first winter storm, leaving tens of thousands of displaced Palestinians exposed to the elements.
According to Palestinian media sources in Gaza:
Around 70,000 tents sheltering tens of thousands of displaced Palestinians were flooded within just 12 hours of the first winter storm.
Dozens of walls collapsed, causing injuries of varying severity, including serious injuries, across the Gaza Strip.
Warnings have been issued about dozens of structurally damaged buildings, weakened by Israeli bombardment during the genocidal war, that are at risk of collapsin

The scenes of flooding from Gaza are heart-wrenching. In spite of all that has changed in the past three years, the genocide continues unabated. Do not forget Gaza. Please give what you can
Listen to the pain in his voice. The endless suffering of Palestinians in Gaza. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
🚨Support Now 🚨 chuffed.org/project/113222-t…
Thousands of tents broke overnight, and this young boy in Zaytoun neighborhood is one of them. The Sameer Project is getting hundreds of calls and messages asking for support, and we don’t have the funds to do it!
The military occupation closed the Egyptian borders a few days ago, and there are no tents or tarps coming in. War profiteers supported by the military occupation are hoarding tents and tarps, and hiking the prices making it impossible for anyone to afford them.
Our choices are to feel hopeless and angry, or mobilize and help as much as we can. The Sameer Project chooses the latter but we NEED your urgent help.
Donate urgently to the General Fund and share the crisis in Gaza with everyone you know: chuffed.org/project/113222-t…

Very excited to share with folks that Joshua Williams was finally freed today, and smiling ear-to-ear on a Group FaceTime chat after being released this afternoon and on a long ride back to St. Louis. Josh was a Ferguson political prisoner who was so so wronged, but that’s for another day. Today is a joyous day as Josh feels what freedom feels like and a real meal tastes like. #MikeBrown
the proper response to these sports bans isn't "oh well there aren't many trans kids athletes anyway." it's "democratic politicians failed to fight for vulnerable children." that there are so few trans kids in sports only heightens rather than mitigates the cruelty.

Wilt did it 5 times from 1960-67.

alright, libbing out is over, now it’s time to address how talarico, acton and turek threw trans people under the bus, and anti-trans ballot measures passing in numerous states.

GAME SET MATCH FILS 🔥
Recently qualified for the ATP Finals, Arthur Fils defeated Tomas Machac in straight sets to move on in front of the home crowd. Fils has had to play a lot of three set matches lately, so I am happy to see this one closed out in straight sets. For a spot in the QF, Arthur Fils will take on Taylor Fritz. The pair just met last week in Basel, where Arthur Fils had to retire. Let’s see if this week will be a different result.
“It’s gonna be nice” 🙂↕️

None of the people who are chronic targets of US violence are excited about a blue wave. They know why.
Personally, I don't care about the results of the American elections because I know very well that Trump's America is Biden's America, which is Obama's America, which is George Bush's America, and Republican America is Democratic America, and nothing will change.
America needs a popular revolution to liberate it from the Zionist lobby's domination. As for the American elections, they are more like a play performed every four years, and only fools believe it.
