The @NEARProtocol Hackathon is live through November 14 with $250K in prizes. Here are a few ideas for things I’d love to see built with @near_intents and @near_ai.
––AI encyclopedia with prediction markets: instead of community curation, every fact becomes a perpetual truth-seeking market (Augur-style). The official pages are generated by AI based on the current market understanding.
––Private trading where you sell your viewing keys for people to follow/copy trade. NEAR Intents confidential trading is all private, so you can have a social trading app where people sell "keys" for only select people to see. PnL can be publicly displayed so people can choose to buy in.
––Universal checkout widget: any merchant/app can add a “checkout” button that enables paying with Intents from whatever wallet and blockchain that user has.
––Swarm-for-Hire (with guardrails or governance AI review, please). Put a bid onchain with a description of the work and anyone can add a new agent to the swarm by giving it NEAR (to pay for inference) with a prompt/knowledge base/tools. All agents accept jobs and get NEAR AI LLM inference from their payment for the job.

NEAR Intents Recorded its Biggest Revenue Month Ever
NEAR Intents (@near_intents) generated more revenue in October than any previous month, according to NEAR Protocol (@NEARProtocol) $NEAR.
The platform recorded $3.9 billion in 30-day volume and $2.4 million in revenue.
Its all-time trading volume has now exceeded $37 billion, with 37 million swaps completed.
The platform also recorded 520,000+ unique users over the past 30 days. Its ecosystem now supports 36 blockchain networks.

Another bullish start to the week for $NEAR.
@NEARProtocol appears to be emerging as a sweetheart for institutions, @Bitwise's new ETF seeing +$1.4M in net inflows on Monday.
The inflows extend a phenomenal streak for the product which has seen net inflows on all but three days since launch...
... and now holds 1.37% of $NEAR's supply.

IRAN SIGNALS FLEXIBILITY ON STRAIT OF HORMUZ DEAL
Iran says it could reopen the Strait of Hormuz within 4–5 days, rather than the proposed seven, if its conditions are met.
According to Iranian state TV, Tehran is discussing a proposal involving the lifting of the US blockade with officials from Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan.

I sold $BTC to buy $NEAR.
For the first time, NEAR's own revenue buys NEAR on the open market — and
holders are being paid about 113x what they got in the 2021 cycle.
→ Swap fees buy NEAR on the open market. $28.09M a year
→ September's buyback ran 2.54x August's, while fees grew only 1.91x — the share
reaching the token is accelerating
→ The Bitwise ETF took 17.09M NEAR in 21 days. 53.3% of a year's net issuance
→ Four products shipped and live since 17 September
→ A vote closing 2 Nov would cut issuance from 2.5% to 1.6%
→ NEAR/BTC: +112.6% in 90 days, +197.9% in a year
Three buyers now, where NEAR used to have none: the buyback, an ETF, and a supply cut.
The bet: NEAR doubles over 12 months while bitcoin does 15–20%.
My own model says NEAR is too expensive to buy — 215.3x what reaches holders, against my $4.58 fair value. I bought anyway, because the revenue is growing
faster than the price.
So I didn't quietly move my own goalposts. I published the two conditions that mean I was wrong:
Buyback under $40M a year on 31 March 2027 → I swap back to bitcoin.
Weekly NEAR/BTC close under 4,700 sats → I swap back.
