And the HBCU's killed an incredibly important bankruptcy bill in 2022. S. 2598. Their opposition was the ONLY REASON @DickDurbin 's people said they shelved the bill. They betrayed their own students. Please explain that. Who put you up to it? studentloanjustice.medium.co…

Do you agree that student loan borrowers should have the same bankruptcy protections, and other consumer protections as all other loans?

Some people see this and laugh, and the rest are actually capable of feeling empathy for another human being.

1) Return Bankruptcy/Consumer protections to ALL #StudentLoans 2) Federal Gov’t exits the student loan business and ends @usedgov 3) Hold colleges accountable to some extent for the unemployable graduates they produce who end up having to bankrupt their loans. @StudentLoanJus1

This is happening on all social media to serious student loan activists.

We must especially beware of that small group of selfish men who would clip the wings of the American Eagle in order to feather their own nests. Franklin D. Roosevelt, 32nd President, 1933-1945

Treasury Secretary @SecScottBessent is about to have a LOT more blood like this on his hands. He should rethink himself & tell Trump/Congress to return bankruptcy protections to the loans.

@YouTube is actively REMOVING VIEWS from my videos on my channel. Again. This always happens just as dialogue is picking up on the issue of student loan debt. It’s almost as if someone doesn’t want people to hear what we’re saying. Weird.

Unless you’re a hoarder, you probably don’t want to keep reams of years-old paper sitting in boxes. Here’s what Clark says you need to keep – and for how long. clark.com/personal-finance-c…

This is such a bad idea. Like really really bad.

2 solutions: 1. Use the right law to cancel the loans. 2. The bankruptcy solution is below: The HBCU's can't oppose this.

10 million Americans in default, heading toward 20 million. Going to be garnishing a lot of wages, including 3 million Senior Citizens. What a shit country!

It’s literally that simple.
I totally support cancelling student loan debt for 45 million students because they canceled trillions in taxes for 600 billionaires.

He didn't do enough. If he had cancelled under the HEA back then, he could have cancelled them all, since the HEA of 1965 explicitly gave him the authority to do so. He pretended to try to cancel them via the Heroes Act, which he knew would fail, because he's a POS.

Restore bankruptcy rights to student loans. 10 million in default and climbing. IDR plans are not going to fix this crisis.
