Today, I announced my support for the recall of three members of the San Francisco Board of Education: Alison Collins, Gabriela Lopez, & Faauuga Moliga. These commissioners have failed our students and families. It's time for new, responsible leadership.

I grew up food insecure and working class in the SF Bay Area. This is my home. I am one of the largest donors to your recall. I’m not leaving but after this recall election, you are.

Just stumbled upon SaaSGrid, a cool little webapp built by @ethanjruby of CRAFT -- nice work Ethan. Using this tool to dial-in metrics should become standardized. saasgrid.com/about-us

I'm seeing more and more people in open revolt at the "read the article, it's actually very different from the headline" response. Sorry, no. If the headline misrepresents the article, this bolsters the case for complaining, rather than undermining it.

As a US business (and tech) community, I think we should be significantly clearer about our horror at, and opposition to, the atrocities being committed by the Chinese government against its own people. apnews.com/269b3de1af34e17c1…

Yeah, how steep the downslope is reflects choices societies are making. And the equilibrium, at least in Western countries, seems to be that they're closing enough stuff down to produce a decline (good!) but not a particularly fast one.

Yeah, the way I thought about it is that they keep the shape of a catastrophic outbreak even if counter-measures reduce its intensity dramatically. Part of flattening the curve is that it doesn't just fall back down as quickly.

Wherever you have a problem, take it up with somebody. The trouble is usually more tractable than you realized, and they're usually honest. And I promise you this is true no matter who you're working with.

Prop E’s passage is perhaps the worst institutional political failure I’ve seen in my 23 years in SF. Prop E is a dumpster fire. It‘ll reduce $ for affordable housing/transit, cost SF’s general fund billions, push out start-ups/nonprofits & fuel office sprawl (w increased VMT).

This is one of my biggest pet peeves in combat sports. If a judge is asking himself, did he do enough to beat the champ? while scoring he should be fired. That’s not how this works.
Replying to @arielhelwani
To be the champ, you’ve gotta beat the champ. As good as Reyes was, I don’t think he did quite enough to take the belt away from Jones. Reyes 1-2 and Jones 4-5. 3rd was the one I struggled to call.
