Basically, there is a pre & post facelift, where the pre-facelift looks far more cohesive (right) We received it 2 years late in the states, so we only had two model years for it, '17 & '18. Between those two, only one year could be specced w/ the laser headlights, the '18 Within the r8 there are two versions, the base trim & the plus. Everyone opted for the plus, because you got more power & its a supercar & numbers are all that matter, except the plus cars have this hideous gardening glove material & more importantly different gearing as well Effectively 3-7 are all real short gears vs. on the base model where 7 is an overdrive, as a result the plus drones on the highway & drops like 5mpg for zero reason & then you could option these w/ 19" or 20", where everyone went for the 20" because they were machined, except it rides like shit. & you could spec them w/ carbon brakes, which everyone did, except they're terribly grabby at low speeds & you eat through them on track
