SUCH A HUGE HUGE WIN!!! I'm crying real tears in public I'm HONOURED to have played a teeny part in this. The people who worked on this campaign and wider world of cultural sponsorship are the BEST! BP sponsorship of Royal Opera House ends after 33 years theguardian.com/culture/2023…

I cannot remember the last time a politician said something that truly resonated with me like this just did
One of the more exciting parts of this election - among many - is the return of a religious left.

Your government barred the guy campaigning with Abdul el-Sayed from entering the country. Nice try!
When you vilify, smear and demonise good people who refuse to let your hate define them, other good people don't stand by. They stand up and vote for hope over fear. Congratulations @AbdulElSayed 🎉

It's a sickening spectacle to see Labour MPs who think anti-Zionism is racism celebrating the election of Abdul Al-Sayed--an anti-Zionist Muslim who they would've expelled from their party

Egyptian-American surgeon Adam Hamawy, who volunteered in Gaza during the genocidal war and performed more than 100 surgical operations, has won a seat in the U.S. Congress representing the state of New Jersey, becoming the first Muslim to represent the state in its history.

Hilarious watching politicians and journalists in Britain hail the victories in the US midterms and celebrating categorical and uncompromising politics, as if they haven't been losing their marbles over a mildly critical Green Party motion.

Sure, the midterms are fun but Trump losing the very essence of his Presidency would slap more if he was in a repurposed Sports Hall at 3am in Wigan

The steps that Andy Burnham has taken to roll back 40 years of neoliberalism.

I hate gay Halloween. What do you mean you’re Judith Butler’s theory that gender is not a stable identity or locus of agency from which acts follow but rather an identity tenuously constituted in time through a stylized repetition of acts that produce the very interiority they are said to express?

Ahead of what will clearly be a coordinated assault on Zack Polanski - some basic facts. 1 - Yes, Polanski's own net approval ratings have dipped sharply in recent months. This is primarily the result of more people becoming aware of him and forming an opinion. His actual approval ratings have been remarkably steady and, at 19%, he remains considerably more popular than his party. 2 - By comparison Adrian Ramsay's approval rating when he was co-leader in June 2025 was 5%. 81% had either never heard of them or had never bothered to form an opinion. His fellow co-leader Carla Denyer was only marginally better on 9%. 3 - Reportedly 18,000 members have left in recent months. But this is in the context of an unprecedented surge in membership which took the party from 70k to close to quarter of a million members after Polanski became leader. 4 - The party now has more than 1300 local councillors, compared to less than 900 when Polanski became leader. 5 - Yes, the Greens have dipped in the polls recently. But even now they are at the same level they were when he became leader. And they are primarily victims of their own success having obliged the Labour Party to ditch Starmer - a level of influence the Greens could previously only dream of. 6 - The Zionism is racism motion is held up as having done huge damage to the party. An Opinium poll showed 56% of Green Party members supported it - and just 13% opposed it. A clear majority among all voters under 34 who expressed an opinion supported it. By any logical criteria, if your aim is for the Greens to become Britain's first genuinely radical, mass political party, capable of holding the balance of power in parliament, it makes no sense whatsoever to get rid of Polanski. It makes sense only if that is precisely what you don't want to happen. thetimes.com/uk/politics/art…

The extent to which Britain is willing to trash its legal system, international credibility, municipal governance systems, and reputation as a place of academic freedom — all the protect Israel’s genocide and suppress opposition towards that genocide, well, it still shocks me.
