With the president facing historically poor approval ratings, growing economic discontent and months of favourable polling for the opposition, the Democrats may be on the verge of delivering a serious political blow to the White House. #EUToday #USAToday #PoliticsToday eutoday.net/are-democrats-on…

The election has implications beyond Bulgaria’s domestic politics. As a member of both the European Union and NATO, Bulgaria participates in decisions concerning sanctions against Russia, military assistance to Ukraine and the security of NATO’s eastern flank. Iotova has consistently favoured diplomatic engagement with Moscow and has opposed sending military assistance to Ukraine. #EUToday #Bulgaria #NATO eutoday.net/bulgaria-iliana-…

🇧🇬#Bulgaria: On 1 November 2026, Bulgaria completed the set – pro-Kremlin government, Prime Minister and President. This means that Progressive Bulgaria now has total power over the country’s institutions, budget and policy. Many fear that the country is falling back into its totalitarian communist past. With Yotova’s election success the pro-Russian direction of the country will be reaffirmed and her win will be used a prove that people want closer ties with the Kremlin and less cooperation with the EU. Her win will be a propaganda tool every time someone dares to question Radev’s authority. This election evidenced that Kremlin-style techniques still work in Bulgaria, but the question now is – will Bulgarians allow Moscow to steal their future?

📢 | The EU doesn’t need to do more. It needs to do better. MEP @ruggerorazza wants the European Union to focus on competitiveness and stronger borders, instead of taking on more and more tasks.

🇧🇪🇸🇪 UPDATE: REFRIGERATION DISRUPTIONS SPREAD ACROSS EUROPE - SWEDEN AND BELGIUM AFFECTED IN SWEDEN: • At least 6 ICA supermarkets affected by suspected refrigeration system hacks. • Coop has now CONFIRMED that 6 of its stores in central Sweden are also affected. • Freezer temperatures reportedly reached 50°C. • Stores have been forced to discard large quantities of food, with some temporarily closing. IN BELGIUM: • Multiple Delhaize supermarkets are reporting abnormal refrigeration temperatures. • Store managers were alerted around 04:00 this morning. • Temperatures reportedly rose to 15°C. • Affected locations include Malonne, Pont-à-Celles, Le Rœulx and Ath. • Some stores have been forced to discard entire refrigerated inventories. The incidents follow similar cyberattacks against hundreds of French supermarkets in October. The cause of the Belgian disruptions remains unconfirmed, and no technical connection between the incidents has yet been established. Monitoring developments.
🇸🇪 🚨BREAKING: CYBERATTACK: MULTIPLE SWEDISH SUPERMARKETS HAVE REFRIGERATION SYSTEMS HACKED At least four ICA supermarkets in southern Sweden have reportedly been affected by a cyberattack targeting their refrigeration and freezer systems overnight. According to SVT: • Affected locations: Sjöbo, Tomelilla, Brösarp and Sankt Olof, all in Skåne. • Refrigeration temperatures reportedly reached 50°C. • The ICA store in Sjöbo was forced to close temporarily. • Staff are emptying freezers and discarding spoiled food. • ICA has acknowledged the incident and is assisting affected stores. The store manager in Sankt Olof says temperatures are returning to normal, but the food has been ruined. The incident bears striking similarities to October's cyberattacks against hundreds of French supermarkets, where refrigeration systems were remotely manipulated. The French attacks reportedly involved Danfoss refrigeration controllers. It remains unknown whether the Swedish stores use the same equipment. There is currently no confirmed connection between the incidents, and the attackers remain unidentified. Another reminder of how cyberattacks against industrial control systems can cause immediate physical and economic disruption.

Newly disclosed Ministry of Defence documents suggest that British police improperly transferred an investigation involving an American military officer to US military authorities, raising questions about how criminal jurisdiction is exercised over foreign troops stationed in Britain. The case has prompted a wider government review of the arrangements governing visiting forces. #DefenceMatters #USAF defencematters.eu/ministry-o…

Belgian Prime minister Bart De Wever will tender his resignation to the King. The King will refuse to accept it. Bart De Wever will make one more attempt to convince his coalition partners that spending cuts are inevitable. If he fails, Belgium will be heading towards a sovereign default and a Greek-style financial collapse. drieu.substack.com/p/de-weve…

Slovakia has reopened a criminal investigation into the transfer of MiG-29 fighter aircraft and Kub air-defence systems to Ukraine in 2023, reversing an earlier decision to close the case. The move has renewed a dispute over the legality of military assistance provided by a previous government and comes as Bratislava seeks to restore its own air-defence capabilities after several years of reliance on NATO allies. #DefenceMatters #NATO #Slovakia defencematters.eu/slovakia-r…

Sudan’s expanding drone war is killing civilians far beyond the front lines, raising urgent questions about the foreign suppliers sustaining it. Among them is Turkey, whose weapons have strengthened the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) while advancing Ankara’s interests around the Red Sea. The relationship connects a devastating civil war to a wider contest for influence, commercial opportunities and strategic access. #EUToday #Sudan #Sudanese eutoday.net/turkeys-drone-di…
