Impressive work by the modders. The base PS5 can apparently run 60 FPS in QUALITY MODE. It proves that some 30 FPS locks are software limitations, not necessarily hardware limitations. Even smaller games sometimes lock the standard PS5 to 30 FPS, only to run at 60 FPS on the PS5 Pro. So, are developers told to deliberately hold back performance on the standard PS5 to sell more Pro consoles? Or maybe due to heating issues, imo.

🚨 Gran Turismo 7 running on PC through PS5 EMULATION is INSANE! 👀 • GT7 is now reaching actual on-track gameplay through KytyPS5 • Footage shows the game running on a Ryzen 7 9800X3D + RTX 4080 • This is beyond simply booting or reaching the menus • GT7 development has focused on crashes, shaders, graphics and stability • A dedicated KytyPS5 GT7 fork is actively being developed by usa-ratt • Mainline KytyPS5 has also received GT7-specific compatibility work • Performance still varies heavily depending on the scene • GT7 is NOT fully playable from beginning to end yet We're watching Gran Turismo 7 driving around the track through PS5 emulation on PC. The progress PS5 emulation is making absolute strides. 👀
