The first 8A softball state champion: the Providence Panthers!
Providence rebounded from a Game 2 loss to Corinth Holders and took Game 3, 6-2.
It is the first softball state championship for a Mecklenburg County school since Butler in 2008.

Came to @butlerbulldogs @ButlerHSAthlet1 to honor @JustCoachHales tonight. Best part of the night was the "covered sign"!! 😂😂😂
My new FAVORITE! Praying for my hometown @AsheCountyHS and all the folks in Western NC @Prov_Football @langstonwertzjr
This may be my favorite logo ever! Not because it is pink... not because my good friend @CoachLashSr asked me to come to Greensboro.... not because of the beautiful church.... any guesses?
Not bad for 4" rain and a hurricane yesterday. What to do.... Butler vs. Providence OR Georgia vs. Alabama....
The best it will be this year for @Prov_Football vs. @butlerbulldogs Tomorrow night will do some serious damage. @ProvBoosterClub @ButlerHSAthlet1
I am done with @Marriott I have messaged with them all day. I used a travel agent to book a complicated trip. They won't give me my nights stayed. I have spent $65,100 with them this year. No more. They should listen to their customers.
So @ButlerHSAthlet1 just sent me this. I could not have gotten a better 60th birthday present. It had been the most stressful summer ever. No grass. Resod. Sprinklers default. Then Floods. Can't mow. The past week has blessed us. Thank you @JustCoachHales
Does anyone know what station the @Panthers is on tonight? It says NFL network but is it on local channel? Thanks
$10,000 spent between fertilizer, sand, sod and 100s of hours by @JustCoachHales @CMeckAthletics and @CMSboard continue to ignore the drainage @ButlerHSAthlet1 the water is destroying the field and the track. Why? 2 people with equipment could fix it in 1 day.
