Finland, the reigning world champion, has announced that it will refuse to play against Russia at the Ice Hockey World Championships as long as Russia's invasion of Ukraine continues.
Finland is now working with other Nordic and major European hockey nations to form a united boycott front.
If enough countries join, holding the tournament with Russia participating could become impossible.
Meanwhile, Germany is considering withdrawing as host of the 2027 World Championships if Russia is allowed to compete.
โ๏ธ as I've said before, the "all the eggs in one basket" economic policy worked until it didn't. It was the path of least resistance, and made a lot of sense geographically and logistically.
Diversifying trade will strengthen Canada significantly in the long run.
Bafflingly, there was a time when this was considered scandalous.
