Building @typedotcom. Former Head of Product @Confluence, CEO @Halp (acquired by @Atlassian)

Today we're officially launching @typedotcom, the shared space for your team's best AI work. Teams need a central place to build apps, skills and automations together. Not swarms of agents. Our ambition with Type is to be the last piece of software your team will ever need. To build this, we've raised $4m from @LererHippeau, @haystackvc, @MatchstickVC, and angels from Slack, Github, and Ramp. So what does Type do? → share work from Claude chats into a collaborative space → switch harness or model any time → manage integrations with granular permissions → a central place to deploy apps and automations together → build a self-learning company brain → use your existing Claude or ChatGPT subscription Companies like @rayconglobal, @Intelligems and @trueclassictees are already running tens of thousands of successful agent jobs that forecast revenue, manage inventory, answer support tickets, and a lot more. We're blown away every day at the custom tools and automations our customers are building. What's something you haven't yet been able to solve or automate in your business? Tell us in the comments and we'll respond by building it for you in Type!

One under appreciated reason using an agent to drive your browser/work is better for focus and productivity: Every service you login to tries to distract you. You open Slack, LinkedIn, or X and the whole UI tries to suck you in. I often find myself completely forgetting what I came there for. Vs if you use an agent and its logging into everything, you avoid the distracting UI completely. Much easier to stay in flow.
Today i'm testing out running my entire day from Type. It synced my chrome sessions so its already logged into everything. This is definitely the future of how people are going to work. Right now I'm: - product planning in linear - replying to customer emails in gmail - fixing bugs and opening github prs - writing specs for new features, tagging my coworkers Each one runs an agent side by side so I'm not actually clicking around I'm just chatting with my agent.

If you want immediate access to a shared AI workspace, type.com is free to try :) - multi model, multiplayer - run any harness in the cloud - bring your Claude/codex subscriptions (not possible in glass) - shared automations, apps, and skills - connect to 900+ integrations

type.com has a built-in browser for your agents and automations. Run the cloud version that keeps working after you shut your laptop, or the local one that's fast and responsive.

Test all the different personal agents without having to set up integrations and context for each one. I've got instinct, muse, chatgpt, and claude all pulling down my pipeline data by connecting them to a single MCP/CLI.

App layer companies are in an unwinnable trap. - Your customers demand being able to use frontier models in your product, so you have to integrate - At the same time, they build directly competing features (ChatGPT spaces) that cannibalize your business
ICYMI, we launched token sharing with ChatGPT earlier this week. Start in ChatGPT. Save the work to Notion where your team can see. Then keep going using your ChatGPT plan in Notion.

And they are all on a collision course :)
Starting a new project at @linear let us know what do you need for making linear the place for your team/agent/markdown etc documents

There's been a few key moments in the past 4 years that have blown my mind. This week is one of them. The personal agent (Muse, Dots, Grok, Instinct, Claude) is the new interface where people do their work. The tools that plugin to them are the future of how teams will work together. I installed the Type CLI/MCP across all of them, giving me access to all our company data. I can push up automations, agents, and skills into a shared workspace my whole team can access. Individuals can work with their personal agent. The team gets a shared operating system with agents and automations they can manage. Quick demo of how Headless Type works below. To install it, just ask your agent "Read type.com/install.md and help me set up Type."

I think there is much more potential energy in Sign In With ChatGPT/Plugin Extensions than we realize

App Store rankings don’t lie. Despite all the hype on X, the only consumer AI companies that matter are Meta (muse), ChatGPT, and Google (yes, really)

This, combined with the rumored launch of their own Bot/Muse/Instinct competitor, is a big deal for brands. Will be a high leverage new channel for early adopters.
ChatGPT Ads for @Shopify is live. We are @OpenAI's first commerce partner. OpenAI pulls straight from Shopify Catalog, so merchants' products are already there. Merchants set their own campaigns, their own budget. Free to install, tracked right from the Shopify admin. Consumers are asking ChatGPT what to buy. Shopify merchants are able to decide exactly how they show up. apps.shopify.com/chatgptads
