fun fact: tax evasion is a sin unto the seventh commandment according to the catechism along with commodity market manipulation
Wait. Does the Pope pay US taxes?

no one runs their home primarily off of an onsite generator, NAS devices are only for nerds -- just use the cloud, and yes local inference is largely stupid.
sam: local inference is a terrible allocation of scarce resources “a lot of people want local inference, and somehow they assume that the problem is solved now because we have open-source models, we're going to be able to run them on our computers, and so we're not going to need all the stuff in the data centre but from a global allocation perspective, actually it's quite terrible to have everybody, like, have a bunch of the world's limited supply of DRAM sitting in their own computer and being used five percent of the time you want maximum utilisation in the cloud if you're trying to deal with this very supply-constrained environment somehow many people's intuition is the opposite of that”

Terra is for knowledge work and OAI did a terrible job making this clear cause capabilities are spiky
GPT-6.1 Terra beats Astra in our vision benchmarks wtf OpenAI? had to double-check the results - text - object detection - counting also ~47% faster and ~92% cheaper ↓ leaderboards and examples

This month, we onboarded auditors at one of the top 10 U.S. audit firms. They're using Servo to audit another Servo customer. (Servoception.) It's been a few weeks, and they *still haven't asked our client for any supporting materials* How is that possible? They're using Servo's AI agent to find, analyze, and explain support across multiple ERP systems. Fewer requests for the team. More time spent running the business. Want your audits to be faster, cheaper, and easier? Use Servo.

They picked the one they are OK with not doing business with for implementation consulting
If Anthropic can use a 2nd tier audit firm (Grant Thornton) through one year before a $2T IPO, Then your software company that is <0.05% the valuation probably doesn't need to use the Big 4 yet...

the trend will be complex, "quantum" challenges proven to be addressable by simpler classical algos see tang 2018
I'll try. ETH claims 3SAT cannot be solved in 1.000... 01^n time for some number of zeroes. They claim ETH is false, giving an algorithm that is "sub-exponential" time for 3SAT. That would be surprisingly faster than brute force, the 2^n time.

The experiment with the auditors is going swimmingly. Notably, they have *not asked our client for any materials yet* So far 100% of the audit is self-serve.

My son is on the spectrum, and not only does Galaxy Gas completely calm him down during sensory overload, but it's even given him the ability to socialize with other kids for the first time in his life.

1) why would you ever expose those via public API to begin with? 2) 6k is quite low
A new distillation attack method has been discovered, and is now patched by OpenAI.

Servo takes notice of this slight
Anthropic only directly names two competitors in its S-1. 👀 1️⃣ Alphabet $GOOG 2️⃣ OpenAI "We compete directly with companies developing frontier models for third-party software developers and enterprises. Our primary competitors in this category include Alphabet Inc. (together with its affiliates, “Google”) and OpenAI Group PBC (“OpenAI”)."
