Alejo’s travel business is projected to reach €5M in revenue this year. Not by starting from zero. He already had the brand, audience, and demand. What changed was the product: curated trips to Asia. And the site was built with Floot Really good reminder that distribution + the right offer can move fast. Full Interview on the FlootHQ YT channel.

How to get it: find Floot in ChatGPT's app directory, install it, and sign in on floot.com. Then start a chat with @Floot and it shows up in your sidebar. Tip: set Floot to "Allow all actions" so the build doesn't stop for approvals. The AI runs on your ChatGPT subscription. floot.com/r/SIDEBAR

When we applied to @ycombinator , we had $800 in monthly revenue. We were running free tests, and people kept asking if they could pay us. So we started charging right before the application. W27 applications close Nov 2. Someone on my team asked me this week what YC looks for. I think YC invests in team and traction, and maybe more in the team. Here's where I'd put the effort: 1. Fill in the achievements part properly. It's a required field anyway, so link it to what you're building. For us that was my time at Retool and the team's experience scaling a technical product for non-technical people. 2. Tell the story behind your traction. $800 a month is a small number. Users asking to pay for a free test says a lot more. 3. Put most of your prep into the team part. I don't have data on this, but from the stories I've heard, the team matters more than traction a lot of the time. If you're waiting for bigger numbers before you apply, I wouldn't. Apply here: ycombinator.com/apply. The on-time deadline is Nov 2, 8pm PT.

Pro tip: keep API keys and passwords out of your app's code. A business site was hacked 6 days after launch. The admin password was right there in the page code. • Add keys through Floot's key form, never the chat or the code • Ask your AI to scan the project for passwords and keys • Right-click your live site and open View Page Source. Strangers see that too.

Try it. Paste this into Claude or ChatGPT with Floot connected: @Floot In my project [name], connect the OpenWeather API. Ask me for the API key through Floot's secure form, not in this chat. Then search the whole project for passwords, API keys or tokens written in the code, and list anything a visitor could see in the browser. Get Floot: floot.com/r/FXP

"The real deal is engineering: reliable, affordable, and scalable." That’s why we built 'Floot.' It comes with pre-configured login, databases, and hosting; API keys never touch your code; and there’s a set daily hosting budget for every app. You simply describe your app to ChatGPT or Claude, and 'Floot' brings it live.
Low-Level Design is dead. AI has made coding obsolete. No one cares about the programming language we use. What matters is engineering: making a system reliable, cheap, and scalable. In the past 3 months, I have worked on dozens of side projects and built custom frameworks for myself. I hadn't written code professionally since 2019, and yet I was blazing through projects in 2026. My system design fundamentals helped. My business fundamentals also helped. Coding didn't. I haven't written a single line myself. In 2026, code is all generated. If you are a software engineer, you must transition to AI now. All the best, my brethren.

Your Floot apps can work together now. One app can use another app’s features and data directly. An admin panel that manages your storefront, several brand sites sharing one booking calendar, one dashboard pulling live numbers from every app you run. Each app shares only the functions you choose, only with apps on your account, and nothing connects until you approve it. Say “let my admin app add products to my shop” and Floot sets it up.

Floot (@floothq) is where vibecoded software runs. Yujian Yao (@yyjhao) rebuilt the runtime behind every Retool app as a staff engineer there, after being an early engineer at Asana. At YC in Summer 2025 Floot launched as an AI app builder for non-coders, built from the ground up for AI. Today you connect Floot to Claude or ChatGPT and the model you already pay for builds a full stack app: backend, database, hosting and your own domain. It can even publish to iOS and Android. @guilleflorvs and I are investors. xitter.cf/rdominguezibar/status/…

Floot can turn recorded audio into text, with speaker labels and timestamps, so a meeting, an interview, or a voice note becomes something your app can search and act on. Describe what you want done with the transcript and Floot wires it in. It runs on Google’s new Gemini 3.5 Transcribe model. Floot it today!

We killed our old referral program when Floot changed. The old bonus just didn’t make sense for how people build now. So I’m bringing it back, way simpler: Every friend you bring who upgrades = half a month free for you. That’s it. The credit goes straight to your next payment or auto-reload, or you can turn it into AI or hosting credits. Building is better with friends. Bring yours 👇 floot.com/dashboard/referral…

Test on a real phone. Leave the website alone. A test build sends your iOS and Android app to TestFlight and Google Play like any other build, but it runs against your preview server instead of the live site. Open Publish, click Advanced, choose Test. Your website stays exactly as it is.

Your app looks great when everything works. But that’s the only way you’ve ever seen it. Nobody clicks through to the failed save, or loads 500 items into a list to see if it holds up, or checks what a brand-new account with nothing in it looks like. Your users find those for you. Today we’re launching Floot Examples. Connect @floothq to Claude or ChatGPT and ask it to “create examples for the Home page.” You get your real page in each of those situations (loading, empty, failed, a very long list) as cards next to the preview, and you can open any of them and click around. The data behind them is staged, so nothing touches your database. Your AI looks at them too. After a change it opens an example, takes a screenshot and checks the result, instead of telling you it’s fixed and hoping. Vibe coding brings your idea to life. Craft is caring about the parts nobody demos, and Examples puts those in front of you. How it works, with clips of each step: floot.com/docs/getting-start…

Your app can work inside your users' Google accounts now. One click and it connects to their Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Drive, with no Google Cloud project or OAuth setup on your end. Describe what it should do, like "add bookings to the user's calendar," and Floot builds the rest.

Three apps you probably don't want public: The admin panel your team uses every day The client project that launches next month The beta you're only ready to show ten people Internal publish is built for all three. Publish the app, invite people by email, and only they can open it. Anyone else who finds the link is asked to sign in. Invited users can open the app but not the project, so clients and testers see the product without seeing how it's built. When you're ready, you can make it public again at any time. Live now on Floot.

You built the app that runs your business with AI. Right now, anyone can find it on the internet and open it. That changes today. Introducing Internal publish. Put your app online without opening it to the world. Your app keeps its URL. You choose who gets in. Everyone else stays outside. And there’s no login system to build. Floot checks every request before it reaches your app, protecting pages and APIs alike. Access is enforced at the platform level, so you don’t have to rely on your app’s login code to keep it private. Open Publish, choose Internal publish, and invite people by email. They receive an invite, sign in to Floot, and they’re in. Custom domains work too, and you can make your app public at any time. What would you build if it didn’t have to be public?

We started Floot with two engineers and a belief that anyone should be able to ship a real app. The product has grown a lot since then, and so has the team. Today we're excited to welcome Joanie Lam as our first Founding Designer. Joanie started out designing graphics for her family's fashion business, sharpened her craft at J.Crew and Gap Inc., and has since designed tools in aerospace, NASA, and nonprofits. At Floot we're building the full system around AI that helps people ship real apps. Most of our users aren't engineers, so how the product feels matters as much as what it does. Every screen, every interaction, every moment where someone isn't sure what to do next is a design problem before it's an engineering problem. Until now, we've been solving those problems as we go. Joanie is here to solve them on purpose. When we talked, what stood out to me most was how driven she is by impact. That's the mindset we want: real products, built for real people, that actually work. She's also a new dog mom to Pom Pom, a Pomeranian mix with a 24/7 snack habit, and spends crab season catching Dungeness crab in San Francisco. Welcome to Floot, Joanie!

The hidden cost of a mobile app was never building it. It was building it three times. With the Floot Connector, you describe it once in Claude or ChatGPT and Floot publishes it to the web, TestFlight, and Google Play from the same build. Sign into your Apple or Google developer account and Floot handles the setup. One conversation. Three places.
