Hi everyone
I'm a medical laboratory scientist with a burning desire for a robust transformation in the biotech ecosystem specifically in the area of research and especially in Africa 🌍
Looking forward to connecting with people that want to make an impact 🔥
I am +1 today 😊❣️
All I want for a birthday gift is an opportunity to make an impact in the deSci ecosystem before the year rounds up 😌

What is the 'biotech valley of death', and how can our canine companions help us bring more treatments to market? Our founder recently spoke on this podcast, covering that topic and his path towards gene therapy for canines. youtube.com/watch?v=broWTsqJ…
Imagine adding 10 years to someone's life.
But those years are dominated by frailty, loss of mobility and chronic disease.
Did we really solve aging?
That's why longevity researchers increasingly care about healthspan:
How long can an organism remain healthy and functional?👇
Dogs give us an interesting way to study this because we can observe their health across their natural lives.
@DogYearsDAO isn't asking:
“Can we make dogs live longer?”
It's asking:
“Can we help make their later years better?”
Every day, dogs grow old.
And most of the biological information from that process disappears with them😔.
Their mobility changes. Their inflammation changes. Their activity changes. Their bodies change.
Then they die 🥺
But What remains?🤔👇
They leave us with just beautiful memories that sometimes makes us sad.
But potentially, we could preserve something else:
longitudinal biological data.
Data that could help researchers understand aging, disease progression and interventions.
That's one of the ideas behind Dog Years.
Turning the lives of our companion animals into a source of scientific knowledge.
To make their years to be of impact both to us and the future.
Join @DogYearsDAO today and make that lovely companion in your home part of a better future.
Maybe we've fixed our focus on the wrong animals when it comes to Aging research
Mice are incredibly useful for biomedical research.
But aging isn't a single pathway, and mice might not be the perfect fit to bring the breakthrough that aging research requires...here's why 👇
Aging research is a decade-long interaction between genetics, environment, disease, behavior and biology.
A laboratory mouse can't experience decades of life in a human household But,
A companion dog can.
That's one reason longitudinal companion-animal research is becoming an interesting frontier.
@DogYearsDAO wants to push this further with us all playing a role in it.
So the striking question is can dogs help us understand how humans age?

🌕 LunCo at IAC 2026 — Antalya
🛠️ Hands-on side event: Run a Lunar Mission Together
7 Oct, 18:30–20:00 | DM us
🎤 Our talks
8 Oct, 11:05 | Hall 6 — Open-source simulation testbed for cooperative lunar surface ops
8 Oct, 16:12 | Hall 34 — Interoperability barriers and the case for open rover standards
9 Oct, 14:15 | G2 — Bridging architecture and systems engineering: simulation for lunar habitat design
👋 There @0xIonRod @CatFaber
💻 What we do
LunCo makes open-source simulation software for lunar mission engineering. It runs on an ordinary laptop and lets a team run a mission together: driving rovers, managing power and comms, coordinating a lander — so lunar ops can be tested before hardware.
Come find us after a session or DM us to set a time

For decades, longevity research has leaned on one test subject: the lab mouse. The results in rodents are often stunning... and then ~80% of them fail to translate to humans.
Which raises an uncomfortable question: have we been studying the wrong species this whole time? 🧵
