if you're building in africa, nigeria especially, what sector do you think needs more attention from founders?
where do you think we have the biggest problems that builders should be trying to solve?

Really enjoyed the session and being a guest! Grateful for the opportunity for us and for Africa. Love seeing solutions by Africans for Africans and beyond - AutoPayKe is one of them.
Thank you @thisisdemilade & @foundernotesHQ

after taking a closer look at the platform, here's what i learned about the startup and what it's building. 👇

If someone uses AI to build an entire product, but another person writes every line of code themselves, should the second person automatically be considered the better developer?
What should we actually use to judge their skills?

GETTING INTO TECH IS NOT A GET-RICH-QUICK SCHEME.
GETTING INTO TECH IS NOT A GET-RICH-QUICK SCHEME.
LEARNING TO CODE OR USE AI WON'T MAKE YOU RICH OVERNIGHT.
STOP EXPECTING INSTANT MONEY JUST BECAUSE YOU'VE LEARNED A NEW TECH SKILL.

building something? stop building in isolation. 👀
let's connect, share ideas, and meet founders on the same journey.
no speakers. no formalities. just founders connecting.

YOU CANNOT VIBE CODE A FINTECH APP.
YOU CANNOT VIBE CODE A FINTECH APP.

Not when people's money is at stake and you don't understand what's happening behind the code.

Open source allows people to use, modify, and contribute to software.
But if people can access your product's source code for free, how do you build a sustainable business around it?
What makes someone pay for something they could potentially host or manage themselves?

You are not alone brother 😎
I have an idea to turn the people I already know on X into business opportunities.
My followers and following lists become a starting point for finding customers, understanding their problems, and discovering services or software I could offer.
I want to be able to find a real problem, show evidence that the problem exists, and match it to something I can provide the user.
Others; Product → Find buyers → Send pitch
But my complete idea favours another direction:
Me; People → Understand problems → Find or create solutions → Pitch

Sometimes I wonder if founders actually need funding as early as they think they do.
You have an idea, no customers, and no revenue, but you're already looking for investors.
What exactly are you trying to fund at that stage?
I made this mistake with my failed startup. Don't repeat it. 🧏
