Fascinating organizing tactic by the @scott_colom field campaign to stop knocking doors and start organizing workers who weren't being reached through traditional methods Kinda reminds me of Bernie with the meatpackers in Iowa

32k people was all that stood between us and adorable housing jfc
Massachusetts voters have narrowly REJECTED Question 7, which would have allowed smaller lots for single-family homes statewide. With 2.54 million votes counted, 50.6% voted NO and 49.4% voted YES, a razor-thin margin of just 32,941 votes.

Saddest moment from Tues has to be~likely @YesOn7_MA loss, which would have made it easier to build homes on smaller lots, endorsed by @nytopinion and a slew of (mostly state/local) electeds. D areas were more pro than R ones, but D areas also saw the biggest defections against.
I am disappointed that MA didn't pass question 7, which would have allowed greater housing. One political take away is that '"abundance" agenda is hardly a political winner.

Latino turnout growth was driven by young voters, and young women in particular in GA & TX (where we have voter-file updates). While Latino participation still trailed white, young Latinas flipped that turnout gap and voted at higher rates than young white women. That’s bonkers!

I get that the standard point of reference for this stuff is to say “first Democratic senator from ____ since 19XX” or whatever, but given the history of states like South Carolina and Mississippi, “first Black senator from ____ since 18XX” is the better frame

Among voters most motivated to show up, our Compass Poll had Democrats up 13 in September and 13 in October. The national count is heading toward roughly 13.

"A queer-identifying, pro-Palestine Democrat had to call out of work at midnight on election night after she beat a Republican congressman who paid for abortions for his mistresses in a Trump +24 district" would have gotten you a wellness check 72 hours ago
NEW INTERVIEW: Congresswoman-Elect Victoria Broderick (@Victoria4Tn) on her SHOCK victory in TN-4 “They came in and said ‘YOU WON’ — It was a moment of pure joy.” Victoria tells @Kanew about a win nobody saw coming. (She even had to tell her boss she wasn’t coming to work the next day) An openly queer “Free Palestine” candidate who backs Medicare for All, she only raised $45,000 (!!) but says the work paid off. As for backing Jeffries for speaker, she said she has not yet made up her mind.

I cannot fathom voting to prohibit someone from...having a smaller house.
Question 7, which would legalize starter homes on smaller lots across Massachusetts, remains too close to call, with just 19,000 votes separating the two sides. While we wait, some interesting local results are emerging in Newton, Brookline, Milton, Nantucket and beyond...

started crying again thinking about how excited I am to drive out to rural county parties who for years I’ve been telling to trust the plan and keep pushing and how many of them are going to be represented by democrats in congress now for the first time in a lifetime.

She voted for OBBB to leave committee and voted to confirm RFK Jr and Kavanaugh. Bye bye!
NEW: In a bitter post-defeat interview with one of her favorite beltway media errand-runners (Carl Hulse of The New York Times) Susan Collins lashes out, putting the blame for her loss squarely on the voters themselves; says Mainers lost sight of what matters. #MEpolitics
