Warren Buffet says to be greedy when others are fearful.
Yesterday, on October 17th, 2026, fears of the Black Monday anniversary spread wildly, causing market prices to fall across the board.
Because @liquidtrading is 24/7, users were able to scoop up assets like $DRAM at around $45 and even $44. As of 6:20 PM, $DRAM is now trading well above $46. Buying the dip with 1x leverage would’ve gotten you a 2.2% return over the weekend. Buying it with 10x leverage would’ve gotten you 22%.
Congrats to everyone who followed along and bought the dip!

you’re welcome @chameleon_jeff
Sad how people like this always try to find ways to “shit” on Hyperliquid.
Here are @Outcomexyz markets for reference:

Stablecoins solve this. And on @liquidtrading, you can trade predictions with stables!
Kalshi (@Kalshi) needed about $100 million two weeks before the 2024 election, and the banks wouldn't lend it.
Tarek Mansour (@mansourtarek_) called Ali Partovi (@apartovi) on a Thursday night.
"Ali, we have a problem"
Deposits were growing so fast that fronting them was eating the balance sheet. By Monday, no lender had sent a dollar.
"okay, we're wiring you money"
The first $12M came from Ali personally and from Neo (@neo).
"I had to borrow the money to lend it to them"
On election day, Kalshi still maxed out deposits by 10 a.m.
Never thought I’d see the day.
Google “Liquid” and we’re the first result.
When we named the company Liquid, plenty of people told us it was a mistake.
Too common.
Too generic.
Impossible to own.
Today, we show up second on Google for “liquid” -- right behind Wikipedia’s entry for the state of matter.
One day, I want Wikipedia to say: Liquid (state of matter).
Because by then, the default Liquid will be us.
Until then, we keep climbing.
A famous entrepreneur asked his grandfather: “is it a good idea to buy the dip with your friends?”
The grandfather said: “Who else are you going to buy the dip with? Your enemies?”
JUST IN: $DRAM just fell from $46.5 to ~$44 in the last thirty minutes
Are you buying the dip?
Market commentary used to stop on the weekend.
With 24/7 markets, that will never be true again.
Markets don’t close on Liquid. Here’s what’s moving this Saturday.
Stocks remain under pressure heading through the weekend, with most tech names trading below Friday’s close on Liquid. After a week dominated by inflation concerns and questions about the debt financing the AI boom, the recovery is still uneven.
> Memory and storage remain a weak spot. $WDC and $STX are extending their declines, while $MU, $SNDK and the $DRAM ETF are also lower. The group entered the weekend facing concerns about Chinese memory competition and Toshiba’s plans to expand hard-drive production.
> AI infrastructure is showing pockets of recovery. $SMCI, $DELL, $NBIS and $IREN are above Friday’s close, while $CRWV has steadied after a bruising week. That strength hasn’t spread across the entire trade: power names including $BE, $VST and $GEV remain lower.
> Energy is holding up better. $CVX and the $XLE energy ETF are trading higher, standing out against weakness across much of tech. Chevron’s strength is part of a wider pocket of resilience in energy stocks.
> Crypto-linked stocks are lagging a relatively steady Bitcoin. $MSTR, $COIN, $HOOD and $CRCL remain below Friday’s close, even as $BTC trades near its Friday afternoon level.
> Next week’s earnings will test whether confidence can return: $SPCX and $NFLX report Tuesday, followed by $META and $TSLA Wednesday.
We’ll be back Sunday with the latest moves and headlines. Turn on post notifications to catch the update.

Key market moves and headlines from October 16, 2026:
1. The Nasdaq fell more than 2% in late trading, the S&P 500 dropped about 1.2%, and the Dow slipped about 0.5%, as AI and chip stocks sold off again. The Nasdaq had its worst weekly loss since April 2025.
2. The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index had an eighth straight decline, a losing streak that has erased roughly $2 trillion in market value. $AMD fell 5.4%, $INTC 5.6%, $MU 4.9%, and $AVGO 4.1%.
3. $CRWV fell more than 11%, as credit stress hit its $50 billion debt load. Its 2031 bond yield briefly topped 16%, and the cost to insure its debt implied a 60% default in the next 5 years.
4. The CoreWeave selloff spread to other debt-funded AI infrastructure names. $NBIS dropped 10%, and $APLD and $IREN each fell 9%.
5. Software and cybersecurity stocks also got hit. $CRWD and $SMCI were down about 7.8% intraday and $PANW about 7.6%, while $META fell more than 4% ahead of its earnings next week.
6. Fed Chair Kevin Warsh declined to say whether the Fed will hike again at its Oct. 27-28 meeting. Futures-implied odds of an October hike fell to about 16% from nearly 28% on Thursday.
7. The 10-year Treasury yield held near 5.10% and the 30-year near 5.44%. This week's data showed CPI up 3.7% from a year earlier and PPI up 6.3%, the biggest wholesale price gain since 2022.
8. September import prices rose 1.1%, the largest annual gain in more than four years, and industrial production rose 0.7%.
9. Brent crude rose about 3% to roughly $109 a barrel, and front-month WTI topped $100 for the first time in a month, as Ukraine renewed attacks on Russian refineries.
10. Regional banks rose after beating estimates. $TFC gained 2%, and $RF rose nearly 2% after earning 73 cents a share versus 66 cents expected.
11. $TSLA rose nearly 5% premarket after unveiling its second-generation Roadster, which it calls the world's first flying car, with production planned for 2028. The stock reversed to a loss of about 3% during the session.
12. In pre-IPO markets, OpenAI's implied valuation on Liquid perpetual futures briefly slipped below $1.5 trillion, down more than 4% in 24 hours, while Anthropic's rose 2.4% to just over $2 trillion.
Looking ahead - we have a busy week of earnings next week with $WDC $NFLX $META $TSLA all set to report next week.
I believe that investing in assets like the frontier labs is the right of everyone on the planet.
It thus brings me great joy to see our Anthropic markets cited in coverage of their investor day.
We built Liquid (@liquidtrading) to make getting exposure to assets like Anthropic and OpenAI accessible—without having to navigate opaque SPVs, high minimums, and layers of fees.
