#RamayanaReview : A Visual Spectacle That Misses Its Emotional Core | ⭐ 2.5/5 Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana turns out to be considerably better than what its trailers and songs had led audiences to expect. The VFX is spectacular, and the film offers several visually impressive moments. However, beneath this grand visual presentation lie some major shortcomings. When compared with Ramanand Sagar's iconic #Ramayan, this new adaptation doesn't come close, except in terms of visuals. The biggest weakness is its dialogues. There isn't a single memorable line that stays with you after leaving the theatre. The film is packed with action, but several important emotional moments have been compromised in the process. The #SitaSwayamvar sequence, for instance, is wrapped up far too quickly. Even more disappointing is the absence of the powerful conversation between Lord Ram and Lord Parshuram after the breaking of Shiva's bow. Ramanand Sagar's portrayal of this encounter was deeply emotional, but Nitesh Tiwari misses a golden opportunity to recreate that magic. This could have been a defining moment for Ranbir Kapoor's portrayal of Lord Ram. The film also spends too much time on #Shurpanakha and stretches the Jatayu-Ravana battle unnecessarily. The sequence involving Shurpanakha's husband and Ravana, which wasn't part of Ramanand Sagar's television adaptation, also feels unnecessary. Instead, the makers could have devoted more time to developing the relationship between Ram and Sita after the Swayamvar. As far as performances are concerned, Ranbir Kapoor needs to work harder on his portrayal of Lord Ram, particularly his dialogue delivery and expressions through his eyes. Yash, on the other hand, makes a strong impression as Ravana, while Sai Pallavi does a commendable job as Sita. These three characters hold your attention largely because of their importance to the story. Beyond them, however, there isn't another character that leaves a lasting impression. Ravi Dubey also has considerable scope for improvement. But the film saves one of its biggest surprises for the end. After the end credits, Hanuman makes an extraordinary entry. Ever since the trailers were released, audiences had been asking one question: Where is Hanuman? The makers have finally answered that question in a way that wins hearts. Although Hanuman's face is not revealed, the sequence makes it clear that #SunnyDeol will be playing the legendary character. It is a terrific moment and leaves the audience with something exciting to look forward to. Overall, #NiteshTiwari has delivered a decent one-time watch, backed by spectacular visuals but lacking the emotional depth and memorable dialogues that a story like Ramayana demands. The good thing is that this is only the first instalment, giving the director an opportunity to correct these mistakes in Part 2. If you have grown up watching Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan, don't enter the theatre with sky-high expectations. #Yash #RanbirKapoor #SaiPallavi #NamitMalhotra

Today, 8th November, is a landmark day. Respected L.K. Advani Ji enters his hundredth year. On this special occasion, my greetings to him. I’ve written an article in which I’ve highlighted his everlasting contribution to India. I have recalled his journey, be it experiencing the horrors of Partition and rebuilding life from scratch, strengthening the Jana Sangh and building the BJP, standing up for democracy during the Emergency, leading the Somnath to Ayodhya Rath Yatra or serving the nation in government. Have also written about other aspects of Advani Ji - the voracious reader, his love for culture and cinema, a prolific writer and more. English - nm-4.com/COg761 ΰ€Ήΰ€Ώΰ€‚ΰ€¦ΰ₯€ - nm-4.com/sIqV1v

VFX ke chakkar me puri story ka band baja diya hai Namit Malhotra ne. I dont think he has let Nitesh Tiwari direct this film. #StoryOverVFX #NamitMalhotraAnswerUs #Ramayana
The visual scale and VFX of Ramayana got all the hype, but watching the film leaves you wondering if the story and emotions took a backseat. #NamitMalhotraAnswerUs #StoryOverVFX #Ramayana

Namit Malhotra spoke endlessly about Ramayana's VFX and grand scale. But where was the focus on storytelling and emotions? The film impresses the eyes but fails to touch the heart. Was VFX prioritised over the soul of Ramayana? #NamitMalhotraAnswerUs #StoryOverVFX #Ramayana

Namit Malhotra spent years talking about the VFX and technological scale of Ramayana. But after watching the film, one thing is clear: the visuals got the attention, while the story and emotions seem to have been left behind. Was making a VFX spectacle more important than telling the story of Ramayana? #NamitMalhotraAnswerUs #StoryOverVFX #Ramayana

Hanuman Ansh, made on a budget of just β‚Ή2 crore, had better music and songs than Namit Malhotra’s Ramayana, made on a budget of β‚Ή4,000 crore. Perhaps, the difference lies in the intention. While Hanuman Ansh was made purely out of devotion, Ramayana seems to have been made as a business venture, targeting a foreign audience. How does a β‚Ή4,000 crore film fail to create even one song that goes viral EVERYWHERE?

*Was Nitesh Tiwari’s Storytelling Sacrificed to Fulfil Namit Malhotra’s VFX Ambitions?* Nitesh Tiwari is known for making films that touch audiences emotionally. From Dangal to Chhichhore, the filmmaker has repeatedly proved his ability to bring powerful human emotions to the screen. However, that very strength seems to be missing from Ramayana Part 1. The biggest question is whether producer Namit Malhotra’s obsession with visual grandeur and spectacular VFX came at the cost of storytelling. While the film makes an effort to impress audiences with its massive scale and visual effects, its emotional depth often feels lacking. The Ramayana is not just about grand battles and breathtaking visuals. It is a story of sacrifice, love, brotherhood, devotion and heartbreak. Yet, the film seems more focused on showcasing its VFX than making audiences feel the emotions behind these legendary characters. This also raises an uncomfortable question: Was Nitesh Tiwari given the creative freedom to tell the story his way, or did Namit Malhotra’s vision overshadow the director’s storytelling instincts? There is no confirmed evidence of creative interference, but the final result certainly raises eyebrows. After films like #Dangal and #Chhichhore, audiences expected Nitesh Tiwari to deliver an emotionally powerful Ramayana. Instead, the visuals seem to have taken centre stage while the story struggles to leave a lasting emotional impact. VFX can impress the eyes, but it takes storytelling to touch the heart. And that is where #Ramayana seems to have missed a golden opportunity. #Ramayan #NiteshTiwari #NamitMalhotra

#Adipurush may have been heavily criticised, but Prabhas' stardom and the film's massive pre-release hype ensured a historic opening. #Adipurush Day 1: β‚Ή86.75 Cr | 55.84 lakh footfalls #Ramayana Day 1: β‚Ή64.85 Cr | 25.26 lakh footfalls Despite having significantly more shows, Ramayana couldn't match Adipurush's opening-day numbers. The difference is worth discussing! #Ramayan #RanbirKapoor #Prabhas #NamitMalhotra
