Why are so many so keen to take agency away from Sharon?
She disagreed with the decision, but instead of saying anything, decided to act like a petulant child.
It looked really intimidating for Sharon for that decision to be made, by three older men, without any input from her. She didn't feel there was any point in speaking up against them and it needs calling out, no wonder she looked like she'd given up #CelebrityTraitors

We make fun of people's accents from 30 miles away. Of course we're gonna mock an American's accent. That's how you know we like you.

Don't. That's my daily struggle these days. I have to be nice though as the BA works for the client.

I can't decide if that's you telling me to stop or if it's a rallying cry and I can expect pitchforks at dawn.
Not having plug sockets in the bathroom has nothing to do with safety. It's actually a clever plot by men to stop women taking hours in the bathroom doing their hair.

In my experience, they don't necessarily miss how they used to write code (or at least they accept this is changed forever).
What they miss about the "old days" is knowing that they had a future. That they'd still have a job and be able to pay the mortgage in a year's time.

Leaving aside the nurse not knowing the word, just answer the damn question.
How much alcohol do you drink? None.

Complicated by the fact that not everyone pronounces words the same.

They seem to have put a randomly generated password above it as well.

I don't like like as a technique to always use but I think it can be useful for getting children used to estimating.
This is a technique that most of us use in our heads anyway and I'd only go for full-on long division if I needed a precise answer (and didn't have a calculator).

They shouldn't be the default but I've worked a few places where it was the only sane way to modernize a monolithic legacy system, breaking pieces off one at a time.
