Did you know that we can change the default presentation placement of sheets since iOS 27 and iPadOS 27?
It’s easy to do, and besides iPad, it can also work on iPhone in landscape mode.
You can read all about it in my new quick tutorial!

I’ve been working on a small macOS app the last few days. After spending a lot of time on larger projects, it’s nice to work on something like that and see progress almost immediately.
I’ve been using small Swift protocols quite a lot while refactoring lately, often with default implementations. I really like how they help organise code, making it easier to maintain and change later.
I love SwiftUI and it excites me as much as it did on day one. But on macOS, AppKit is sometimes still necessary for achieving natural behavior without workarounds and hacks. NSOutlineView is a great example of that.
After years of using WordPress for SerialCoder.dev, I rebuilt it as a static site. Too many moving parts, plugins to maintain, and security concerns I didn’t need. It took some work, but now I have exactly what I need. And peace of mind! 🧘 Sometimes simpler feels good.

💡 Reacting to app lifecycle changes is essential for many apps, and while we often rely on UIKit's AppDelegate for that, SwiftUI has its own native way using a dedicated environment value. I'm talking about it in my last blog post: 👇
