ALT Discord screenshot. off-topic-discussion zhu.exe (he/they) at 7:07pm: from what I posted in the Avrae server: my contract with WotC ended a couple weeks ago too and the whole process was poorly communicated and dropped on our team with zero advance notice (I literally found out by receiving an email on my personal account saying "your contract has been terminated") in croebh's case, it was an email informing them their contract ended last week and asking where to send paperwork. I don't blame anyone on the DDB team for it, they've got some things going on with a member of leadership with fairly severe health problems - and croebh managed to get a monthlong emergency extension. in the last few months the WotC corporate team has churned like nothing else and shredded the other members of DDB leadership; last week multiple PMs got laid off during the emergency extension to croebh's contract multiple members of the DDB leadership repeatedly emphasized how important it was to hire...
ALT (cont. some overlap. just pasting new text.) ...to hire croebh, which was met by red tape, excuses, and deflections that the budget was "allocated to outsource development to Poland" we're very disappointed and upset by this outcome as the developers who built this bot from the ground up and the ones that have nurtured its community and growth over the last six years. (Broken heart emoji reactions.) Croebh 7:09pm (something like 160k active users and 70k active servers in the last month~)
