Thanks to Republicans in the TN General Assembly (redistricting), my choice for Congressman is one of these 2 idiots from Memphis who live 200 miles away.
Really feeling the #MAGA here in Williamson County.

What’s most interesting about the debates over the constitutional amendments and calls to “support the Republican Party” is that 99% of voters have no idea what your legislature would NOT support for an amendment.
This year in TN, amendments that would have (1) secured a parent’s right to homeschool their children and (2) restrict state government for ever mandating a vaccine…both failed in Republican led committees.
In my experience, Republican leadership is quick to support measures that shore up their own power. But reject initiatives that would limit their authority and guarantee rights to the People.
Some just resort to calling me contrarian. To those, I would say, perhaps the real difference between you and me is that I’m paying attention.
It amazes me the amount of people willing to assign more power to their government and still make the assumption that it will never be used against them.
For my fellow Tennesseans, on the constitutional amendments, I’m voting
(#1 - NO)
(#2 - YES)
(#3 - NO)
For me personally, 1 and 3 simply use the constitution NOT to guarantee rights to the individual, but to sure up the power of both the legislature and courts, of course, all under the guise of protecting your rights.
Constitutions are supposed to limit government in order that the People retain liberty. Not empower government to enforce liberty.
Yeah. Welcome to the world of @GovBillLee and TN supermajority Republican politics.
Tennessee botched 2 executions this year.
Guess who they hired to find out why.
Former U.S. Attorney Ed Stanton is running the "independent" review of Christa Pike's failed execution.
The AG's office hired him to check whether the Department of Correction followed its own protocol.
The catch: Stanton also did the 2022 review that led to that protocol.
Obama appointed Stanton U.S. Attorney in 2010, and he's now at the Butler Snow law firm.
The "independent" reviewer works at a law firm whose specialty is defending prison officials.
Sounds legit. Right????
Commissioner Frank Strada built the new process off it, then resigned today after Pike survived two full doses.
So the man whose review shaped the system is now grading how the system held up.
That's not independent.
That's reviewing your own homework.
Meanwhile:
* Tony Carruthers' execution went wrong in May, and there was no review.
* Pike is on a ventilator, and Tennessee taxpayers are paying for about $10k a day to keep her alive.
* Executions are frozen for the rest of 2026.
Victims' families waited decades for justice.
Now they get to wait on a guy checking his own work.
I really like the new suggestions plugin for Claude Code @ClaudeDevs
It’s saves a lot of time preventing future errors in my application, errors from unintended consequences.
Between Lindsay Clancy and Christa Pike, it’s apparent that our entire society has completely lost its grip on justice. There is only empathy left for those who commit heinous acts of evil. The victims are simply lost to history.
In case you haven’t noticed, our nation is under judgment and society as a whole has been given over to a reprobate mind. Get ready for very rough seas ahead. I hope you know Jesus.

1) AI will not eradicate humanity. Humans survived an ice age, the Black Death, two world wars, and (so far) the advent of nuclear weapons. Anyone who is loudly warning of AI-caused human extinction should not be taken seriously.
2) If you worked in a company where you anticipated a 10% chance that your product would kill ten people, let alone all people, the correct response would be horror, ceasing all operations, and likely contacting the police or other criminal authorities. I am obviously no Coxon booster but at least his behavior is in line with his stated beliefs. Any current AI company employees saying "yes, me too, the thing we are building and about to IPO may kill all humans" should, again, not be taken seriously. Their actions betray their actual beliefs.
3) Antitrust law does not prevent AI companies from coordinating to make sure AI does not hurt people. It does not prevent companies working together to make sure it doesn't hack people; the DOJ and FTC made this clear a decade ago when they issued a policy statement saying that the agencies "do not believe that antitrust is – or should be – a roadblock to legitimate cybersecurity information sharing." The same principles apply here. See: justice.gov/archives/opa/pr/…
4) Antitrust law does absolutely prevent AI companies from organizing to prevent the entry of cheaper, upstart rivals because the bigger companies are burning cash and failing to achieve sufficient profitability. The panic of individual employees may be sincere if misguided, but the moves by their CEOs to achieve some kind of broad "antitrust waiver" or "exemption" should be meet with deep skepticism in light of the economics of the industry and the threat they face from open models.

Yes ma’am, it is…even when the mother does it. You can help me close the loophole in TN law. #equalprotectionforprebornhumans
I use AI tools daily. There are a lot of things for which I’ve really come to appreciate AI technology. For example, it has opened up new worlds of opportunity in business and is creating a new kind of entrepreneurship and innovation. That is exciting.
However, I am fairly convinced that in general, we are building our own demise. The fact is, humans do not possess the collective wisdom and restraint necessary to only utilize AI for the positive aspects it brings to society.
Even the AI experts themselves have been very public about the dangers inherent in what we are building. Surveillance, which seems to be the main concern of the general public, is truly just the tip of the iceberg and only the foundation required for the real threats that lie ahead.
We should all know that autonomous weapons and autonomous government functions are just around the corner (probably here already in some capacity). And there isn’t a government on the planet that I trust with these kinds of powers. And when we hand over those functions to machines, we’ve truly given up our sovereignty in all respects.
If you are paying attention to the industry, you already know that AI has entered the phase of recursive learning. Meaning, the latest frontier models are now training themselves. New AI models are themselves building smarter and more intelligent AI models. Both OpenAI and Anthropic have recently admitted that new models being tested taught themselves to escape testing environments, jump guardrails, and hack into vulnerable systems, all without human interaction.
We are now on a set trajectory bringing consequences that are inevitable.
I HAVE A VERY SIMPLE QUESTION
.@realdonaldtrump "What, specifically, are these HYPERSCALE data centers going to be used for?"
We keep hearing that America must build them immediately to “win the AI race” against China. Fine. Then spell out the use case.
What applications require this extraordinary buildout? National defense? Intelligence? Autonomous weapons? Financial markets? Government surveillance? Digital identity? Robotics? Medical research? Consumer AI? All of the above?
Because “AI is the future” is not an adequate answer when communities are being asked to absorb massive power demand, water consumption, new transmission infrastructure, diesel backup generation, persistent low frequency noise, utility costs, and potentially the taking of private property through eminent domain to support the electrical infrastructure these facilities require.
And there is another question that deserves an answer: What exactly are we racing China to build?
If the argument is that China will dominate America unless we blanket the country with hyperscale computing infrastructure, then the American public deserves to see the underlying numbers, objectives and national strategy.
How much compute capacity does the United States actually need?
For what purposes?
By what date?
Where should it logically be located?
Who pays for the generation and transmission infrastructure?
Who receives the economic benefit?
Who bears the environmental and community costs?
And what protections prevent this enormous computing capacity from eventually being used for mass surveillance, social scoring, autonomous decision making or government control over Americans?
We have all seen the science fiction warnings, including Terminator. Obviously, that is fiction. But the underlying question is legitimate: before constructing unprecedented amounts of centralized computational power, shouldn't Americans know what we intend to do with it?
This does not mean America should abandon AI or stop building data centers.
It means “China” cannot become a magic word that eliminates scrutiny.
Build what America genuinely needs. Put it where the power, water and infrastructure can support it. Protect private property. Protect ratepayers. Protect communities. Demand state of the art environmental standards.
But first, tell us the mission.
What is the actual national use plan that makes this buildout so urgent?
Because asking Americans to surrender land, infrastructure capacity, water, cheap electricity and quality of life based upon nothing more specific than “trust us, AI is the future” is precisely why the public is pushing back.

Replying to @RepFaison
@RepFaison I think this is maybe what you meant to say.
The real issue on data centers, transmission lines, flock cameras, FISA, beef imports, Islam, immigration, “safety” regulations, healthcare, & pretty much everything…
AMERICANS WANT TO STOP BEING TOLD WHAT TO DO BY GOVERNMENT & CORPORATE A$$HATS WHO SAY JUST “TRUST US.” They don’t. And shouldn’t.
They cannot afford healthcare, they can’t afford a house, they can’t live in a safe & secure community of trust and shared values - while they see yet another strip mall or concrete box data center funded by private equity bros… who are working with the real estate bros who are in bed with local government to hike their local bonds for another mega school filled with teachers telling their kids that they are racist and should be gay or another sex…
All while they bulldoze 100 year old oak trees and suck up water and electricity - forcing prices up while we watch power come in on transmission lines from some ugly solar panel or wind farm covering up farmland… that only exist because corporate subsidies to cronies getting rich from those government subsidies….
To be told that we HAVE to do AI… because China and prosperity… to have our kids look at screens dotted with pornography, sports betting, and eye-crushing addiction… when no one can tell them that we can control AI to maintain a moral society and a Republican form of government, which as sh*tty as it is… is the worst form except for all the others… or that AI is not going to take their job… but just “trust us,” there the tech oligarchs will definitely “provide” for them as benevolent despots with universal wealth… because… you know, yeah - history is dotted with such experiences.
This rant is on behalf of all the Texans and Americans I know who are NOT idiots… who are fine with technology… fine with profits… and aren’t conspiracy theorists… but who are tired of all the society crushing, soul-crushing bullsh*t built in the back of corporate whores who don’t give a crap about them and while they want modern advancement…
…They simply want to recognize America again. Whether they can articulate it or not… they want joy, time, family, conversation, a safe Christian-based western community without Islamic prayer calls… and they would like predictability for more than 5 seconds - with the dignity of a job they can maintain and count on to go along with it…
So – the elites and the government officials can please stop lecturing the people on how “stupid” they are and instead… stop destroying America with debt, unlimited immigration, and empowerment of corporate board rooms over people… and then telling them you’re not doing just that…

Weak politicians in TN better catch up and practice some fidelity to oath, to countrymen, and to heritage before it is too late.
Weak Christian under-shepherds better wake up in the pulpits and educate their pews. There is no peaceful assimilation with Islam… only conflict or domination on the horizon.
Our children and grandchildren will look back upon this generation in disgust as the one which allowed our Christian heritage and the Liberty that only accompanies Christianity to be lost.
Far too many professing Christians disapprove of a stated Biblical stance on Islam…coerced idolatry. Do they not know Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life… the only name under Heaven by which a man can be saved? Do they really believe this or are they just lukewarm attendees rather than redeemed sons and daughters of the Most High? Have they not read Exodus 34:14 “jealous God” description? Do they not realize Hebrews 13:8 tells us that Jesus, the King of all, is never changing… that His words in the Old Testament identify His nature just as the words in the New Testament… He remains jealous God?
Too many professing Christians in TN state they are okay with pursuit of the many pagan religions. I guess an acceptance of bumper sticker theology (TOLERANCE and COEXIST)… both of which are anti-Bible and anti-American. Anything other than Christ is a pathway to Hell and must be the resounding message that every Christian professes.
How has the professing Christian become so lukewarm? Do they not know that lukewarm is unacceptable in the eyes of Almighty God (Rev 3:16)? Do they not realize that those professing to be God’s people then accepting polytheism (anything other than Christianity) in our land is actually just soft idolatry that brings Almighty God’s judgment upon us?
Do they forget that only Almighty God is referenced in our TN Constitution (Article 1, Section 3)? Do they forget the Christian heritage we hold as a nation? Do they expect Almighty God’s blessing when they have betrayed our fidelity to Him? Have they forgotten we are to remain alert, stand firm in the faith, and act like men… (1 Corinthians 16:13)?
Have the idolatrous, the effeminate males and confused females, and the sodomite mindset of the reprobate so overtaken us in America that we can no longer discern right from wrong (Romans 1)? It often appears so.
The first step to a national or state recovery must be repentance by the Church. What will it take for His people to really turn from our sin and toward His face (2 Chronicles 7:14)?
Is it not evident that our land has become sin sick?
The risk of an overtaking by foreign peoples and pagan gods is a direct result of our collective lukewarmness as a people. Repent.
Pastor Lorenzo Sewell:
Arabs have taken over Michigan and blacks struggle to own anything.
Do you think he has a point? I do. @pastorzosewell
Trump is not lowering consumer beef prices. He is bailing out fast food giants.
And hurting American ranchers in the process.
Replying to @RepThomasMassie
Trump announced up to 300,000 metric tons of ground beef imports over 90 days at 25% below market price with no out-of-quota tariffs.
McDonald’s US alone bought ~324,000 metric tons of beef in 2023 (~80,000 in 90 days). Wendy’s system uses ~110,000–130,000 metric tons yearly (~30,000 in 90 days). Burger King sales and units are comparable to Wendy’s, so similar volume. Collectively the three use roughly 130,000–150,000 metric tons of beef (mostly for patties) in 90 days—less than the import volume.
Imported lean trim often goes to foodservice grinding rather than retail cases. The move could ease costs for chains facing high prices, but is framed as temporary consumer relief while the herd rebuilds.
Important message to young men:
If you find yourself in a relationship with a young woman who finds sympathy for Lindsay Clancy, leave her now. Dump her so fast her head spins. And run.
And make sure that you never make that mistake again.
At this point, all 3 of my sons will have arranged marriages. The best thing I can do as a dad is to make sure they don’t marry one of these demons.
