Seeing our factory in person was borderline shocking.
Before that, it was just numbers on a screen, but we flew 10 hrs and drove 6 hrs to meet the people behind the scenes.
Chinese hospitality on another level as always but seeing a 6 storey factory in person, solely servicing our store was humbling and inspiring at the same time.
Made me wanna go bigger.

Western society privilege at its peak. I’ve been hanging in Asia for the last 3 months and I’ve noticed so many things to be grateful for.
This pho has been in the Michelin Guide since 2016. It cost me $3.
Half of life is luck, I’ve realized how privilege I am to be from Australia, some people that I see here would have gotten further than me if they were placed where I was.
Speaking English fluently is a superpower, it’s pre crazy to think that wherever you go, they conform to your language.
Asia is just goated in so many different ways. Safety, food, affordability, people.
Keen to head to Singapore tomorrow and reunite with my boy @gazzceee
Breaking through limiting beliefs is arguably more important than developing any other skills in ecom.
Its more important than making websites, ads, product research etc.
All these things anyone can do. But the belief that you'll make it work no matter what, when things aren't working for months, years etc is an invaluable skill.
One thing I’ve realised in recent times..
I get way more happiness and fulfilment from spending money on the people I love than spending it on myself.
Trips.
Meals.
Small gifts.
Shared experiences.
Outside of travel and good food, I barely buy myself anything anymore.
It’s a nice reminder that the things which make me feel the richest often have nothing to do with what I own or buy.
We got hacked. 103 days ago.
And that's how long it took for Meta to recover our account. 103 days.
In April, due to the hack, our ad account performance went down the drain.
Main campaigns turned off. Couldn't change budgets. Couldn't launch ads. ROAS dropped to break-even.
This was a wake up call and a hard-hitting reminder that in ecom we often rely on only one channel for our revenue, and if that channel goes down, our business takes a massive hit.
If it weren't for our email marketing, we likely would've had historical lows for the brand.
Email marketing acted like a goal-keeper for us, retention when we needed it most and that's how we were able to weather this storm.
As you can see from March to April, our overall revenue almost halved.
But attributed email revenue went up by 1587% and attributed almost 56% of our total revenue in April. It carried us.
Email marketing is so heavily over-looked and under-utilised. So make sure you have it dialed in.
I have a friend who asked me about ecom 2 years ago.
Today he hit his first 1K day.
He has a 9 to 5 at a big 4 and has been grinding on the side for the last few years, not seeing crazy results.
But he never stopped.
Genuinely was so proud and incredibly hyped to see this.
In my experience it’s such a rarity for someone to grind it out when they have a solid, comfortable corporate job.
So for him to stick to it for this long is crazy to me, and if you’re in a similar position, nothing but respect to you.
Q3 is here..
It’s usually the most important time and where the rest of the year is won or lost.
For us, it’s the time where we start to push hard, gain momentum and set ourselves up for the remainder of the year.
New products
New systems
New offers
Half the years already gone, time to make the second half count💪
Respect to those out there trying.
Like actually trying.
Learning, applying and giving it a go.
Too many people open a course, maybe start a Shopify trial and then give up because theres too much to do.
Keep going, don’t stop and I swear you’ll find something new about yourself on the other side 💪
Everytime i share screen and people see my tabs, theyre disgusted
literally 50 tabs each across 10 windows
Lowkey somehow trained my brain to know where everything is but issue is my Macs slowing down like crazy
Easier to just buy a new laptop than to go through everything and clean it up atp
Been reflecting..
Something I'm actually really grateful for during my early twenties is that I took the time learn about myself.
Through friendships, relationships, family, making mistakes, saying yes to things and just living life outside of chasing money.
I used to question if I felt envy or regret when looking at the youngsters killing it.
20 year olds raking in 50k, 100k, 200k months etc.
But as cliche as it sounds, I've realised, these non-money years built alot of who I am today.
And that's the person who truly knows himself as he continues forward to build the things he wants to build.
Grateful for those years.
Ecom is the closest thing to a real-life video game I swear.
- Endless levels
- Different story modes depending on the path you choose
- Unlock skills that level up your character
- Farm gold to travel
- Build a squad that fits your mission
And the more XP you gain, the stronger you get.
The only real rule: Don’t quit before you win.
Every advertiser makes bold claims.
Think about Red Bull
Their whole brand is about how a drink gives you wings
Obviously you wont be able to fly from drinking a can of Red Bull but you're being sold the feeling
You start adopting the identity of being energetic, free, confident, from drinking their drink
That's what great advertising does.
It takes what a product does and intensifies the feeling behind it
Simply just dont make bs claims and learn how to make real ones hit harder
Reminder that if you want a new breakthrough winner.
Then you need a breakthrough mindset.
Copying and replicating can only work for so long.
It makes you complacent with your thinking.
The most original ideas will come from your authentic self, combined with the knowledge that you've accumulated.
Dive deep into that big brain of yours and find your next breakthrough idea that none of your competitors have thought of.
