While the Nepali mobile bank / wallet apps don't work in India currently, you could try the International UPI app for seamless UPI txns. I tried @getmony_app #Mony. Install the app, and do the KYC online. Could take few hours to a day(* i travelled via air and had used the immigration stamp as proof of entry to India). Post KYC, you can add value on the app using your Nepali Bank issued Debit / Credit card(* you will have to incur fees but make sure your card is allowed for ecommerce txn beforehand).
