I’ve been approached by about half a dozen former comics, all women, while at @edfringe who quit because of harassment/abuse. You can help us support them and try to end this by coming to our HUGE gig next week.

13% of Uk live comedy workers responding to our survey left the industry or considered leaving it as a result of sexual harassment.
Let’s just let that sink in. Would you know where to get help if something happened to you?

Anyone working at the fringe this year – how do you feel venues/promotors/orgs are doing on safety? Would you know where to turn if you experienced sexual harassment, had concerns about a colleague, or felt unsafe working late shows? Is it better than previous years? DMs are open

Violence against women starts with words.
Casual sexism is the starting point of normalising harmful behaviour towards women and girls.
Men: challenge yourselves to speak up against sexist remarks—at home, with your friends, at work.
