Hello friends! This is the first major release in our "what's next for Gifox" series, where we're reworking the app inside and out with refreshed looks, smarter workflows, new features, and improved performance. 🍓 Updated media library popover with reworked icons and refined layout, where everything has been slightly scaled up and made neater. 🎛️ Refreshed settings window with classy-looking tab icons and relocated licensing so that everything is now under the same roof and in one place. 👋 Brand-new onboarding with redesigned welcome dialog and new zero-to-hero guide, where you can take your GIF skills to the next level. 🛠️ A ton of performance tweaks and under-the-hood optimizations – we talked about this in the previous post and this lays the foundation for future improvements. See the full changelog on our website and stay tuned for more updates later this summer. Thanks for being with us and have a smashing week! ✌️

Hello friends, Ian here – founder and original developer behind Gifox. I’ve always had a bigger vision for the app, and our team finally got the chance to give it the time and attention it deserves. So I want to share what’s coming up for Gifox later in 2025… 👇                    We’re kicking things off with five key priorities, with more improvements to follow after: 🛠️ Behind-the-scenes maintenance: tidying up codebase and clearing out technical debt to optimize the overall development workflow. Almost done now. ✨ General UI / UX improvements: full design review, cleaner layouts, refreshed icons, global progress in the status bar, and reorganized preferences to improve visual coherence. 🎥 Better recording and import control: customizable mouse / keyboard capturing, improved image sequence handling, and snappy window selection. ✂️ Better editing support: cutting / trimming preview, annotation and redacting, reverse and bounce playback, and track speed adjustment. 📤 Reinventing the sharing: replacing existing integrations with native macOS ones, and exploring ways to create instant a shareable links before GIF processing finishes. See expanded details on all five stages at medium.com/gifox/e80dffc0a0d… If you’ve got any feedback or ideas, I’d genuinely love to connect and hear them – let’s make Gifox great again! ✌️

Hello friends! Unfortunately, the latest 2.2.4 release didn't go according to the plan and failing for many users. We just reverted everything back to 2.2.3, please re-download Gifox from our website while we're taking care of the problem! Sorry everyone for the troubles! 🙏

We've been experimenting with new responsive UI to find optimal way to allow renaming GIFs before they are ready. We want to hear your thoughts, please comment on GitHub if you like it or not, or have any suggestions: github.com/Gifox/Tracker/iss…
