Surround yourself with people who see a flying car and say, "Awesome!" Not people who see a flying car and say, "It's not actually flying" or "I don't see the point." This post is not about cars :)

My taxi driver tonight, Gurvinder Singh, was at the World Trade Center on the morning of 9/11. For the next 40 days, he gave hundreds of rides to any New Yorker who needed, and refused all payment. He showed me the letter he got from Mayor Giuliani thanking him for his service to our city. Gurvinder emigrated from India 35 years ago and encourages all his riders to fly American flags. He asked that I share this message on the eve of 9/11: "love all people, respect all people. God bless you all and god bless America!" 🇺🇸

Accepting this race and entering the “endgame” is a hubristic gamble that should not be launched from a private company’s Slack. Attempting to speedrun alignment should require extraordinary confidence that there are no better trajectories available.

Jay Leno says a widow tried to sell him a Ferrari for $350,000, so he helped her turn it into $3,750,000 instead. “I get enough free stuff like that, that’s right, that’s very nice. You don’t need to start screwing people over.” “I said, ‘If I can get you close to 4 million for that car, will you bake me some cookies?’ And she said, ‘Why? It’s not worth that much.’ I go, ‘It’s worth that much.’” “I don’t like it when I hear people tell me a story how they screwed some old guy out of a car. I hate those kind of stories. I like these kind of stories.”

But I thought the right wants brown kids to assimilate?
Trump put on a national civics competition to find the brightest U.S. students. When a Sikh finalist got questions about the Constitution correct, the judges improperly marked them as wrong. Was the whole thing rigged from the start? Excellent reporting from @Sam4TR 👇

I think it's kinda poetic how for his first win with Ferrari, Lewis was on the podium with a Mercedes and a McLaren driver, his previous two teams

spent the weekend reading (thank claudness) the 𝕏 algorithm source code on github Nikita Bier (Head of Product at 𝕏) said third-party reposts get up to 90% impression cuts. the code shows exactly why and what else is quietly penalized most popular threads are quoting weight numbers that aren't even in the public release here's the full breakdown with 8 solid moves grounded in the code, toned for @XCreators xitter.cf/joestephanx/status/205…

"Indians in Trinidad are still referred to in some places as "coolies". But I feel no shame in that. Today a little coolie girl is now Prime Minister of Trinidad," says Trindad's Indian-origin PM Kamla Persad-Bissessar

How come these "America first" accounts never include India or South Asia... Truth hurts, I know.

Humble reminder that things can change pretty quickly.
Hudson’s Bay once owned 5% of the Earth’s land surface and now it’s a kiosk in a Canadian Tire

when spacex was getting started, the first and last men to walk on the moon testified before congress against it. gene cernan told congress commercial space companies "do not yet know what they don't know." he said the boeings and lockheed martins were "the folks who have been working on everything we've done for the last 50 years. they know how it can be done." neil armstrong said he was "not confident" the newcomers could achieve their goals. together with jim lovell they warned it would put america on "a long downward slide to mediocrity." spacex now launches more rockets than every country on earth combined. the experts will always tell you it can't be done. build it anyway!
