My grandma has been telling me her childhood memories of eating dirt as meals and almost starving to death every year and sleeping on the forest floor as a bed and she used to talk to her sock and use it for emotional support as if it was a stuffed animal and whenever they got some normal food her greedy brothers would eat most of it and give her one bite and this only strengthened her relationship with her sock

“There is a danger associated with growing up, of putting aside children’s books. We must be careful lest all we are left with is a world that is very much not alive, a natural world that is mere piles of stuff – stuff that people can use or not use, preserve or destroy, just as they want.” Susanna Clarke, In Defence of Fantasy Fiction

OH MY GOD THE MODEL FACE WORKS
Tips for looking more attractive in photos (as a model for 15y): Appearance: - use redness eyedrops right before to brighten eyes - floss your teeth - use a teeth whitening strip earlier in the day - a facial spray can refresh your makeup and make you look "dewy" (linked my favorite in comments) - if you have long hair, flip it over your head and then back right before for volume - body oil (or coconut oil) can give your body's skin dimension if you're pale or ashy - if you tend to get oily/shiny, use a tissue (or toilet seat cover paper) to pat away any oil - use a foundation/powder that doesn't reflect flash - if it's a hot day, use Mehron's barrier spray to prevent your face from sweating - use blush if you wear makeup (see her post) Posing/expression: - do a genuine smile. freeze your eyes. drop your smile. that is your model "face" in a nutshell. - never underestimate the 3/4 turn; it's usually flattering - roll your shoulders back and engage your core (a little; you don't want to look stilted) - ladies, if you don't know what to do with hands, keeping any two fingers pinned together often looks really good - a lot of ppl find that if they crouch and then stand up to pose, they look more "fresh"/genuine in expression - put your tongue against your teeth when smiling; this gives a better smile for a lot of people - your tongue should be against the roof of your mouth when your mouth is closed; this gives you a much better jawline - Pinterest has a lot of good casual reference poses for all genders Clothing: - black sometimes photographs poorly; neutrals or tones that compliment your skin undertones are best - avoid busy patterns - layers or small details often look good - if your clothes are at all wrinkled, steam them before (way easier than ironing); you can also do this by putting ice in the dryer and running the garment for a bit And once you learn the rules you can break the rules

If my husband cheated on me I’d be heartbroken. If my husband cheated on me with an employee who I let hang out with our kids I’d be irate. If my husband dressed me and his side chick as thing 1 and thing 2 for Halloween in front of a global audience I’d gut him like a pig.

the moment when I said goodbye to my dad in the airport and he rushed off because he was crying, and I was starting to get weepy, was a human, below language, animal level recognition of something that we did not know at the time: we're not sad because of a longing, I dont long to go to Denmark, he doesn't long to live with me, we are both very busy with other things. but it hurt and was weepy because life sneaks up on you, and reminds you of itself. whenever you are with people, thats a time machine, and you act and feel the way you did in the past, you remember the context in which you had the relationship. and sometimes that feeling is "oh wow we can never go back". its not that I can't go back to Denmark, I could go on a plane tomorrow. but thats not "back". back is when me and my brother were kids, and when my parents were married. I'll always imagine my dad as 40 years old in my head when I think of him, and he'll always think of me as 10 years old when he thinks of me, and living in a little house in a little town in a little country, where everything was just kind of basically nice and okay. and when we're tearing up at the airport that's not longing, because there's nothing that could ever sate that emotion we're feeling. it's mourning, because something has died, and the extreme nature of our reunion tears away all the coping and little stories either of us tell ourselves respectively about why the world is what it is now, and why our family situation is what it is now
"life is very difficult and that's sad"

This is Tommy. Tommy had a question about my allegiances. Listen to the end to hear about his.

Trump on El-Sayed: "His name is actually Abduladadalalalala. It's Adulbabababababa Mohammed Al-Sayed. So his middle name is Mohammed. So I was right. He's a jihadist."
