. @haroldsphinx on some of the challenges faced while building blockchain infrastructure from Africa. “We've seen what you're building, but why should we use you when we can go to IBM or a Swiss company?” “For some companies, even when we're already solving the exact problems they have, they'd still prefer to work with an established international company. Take a payment company looking to build its own blockchain, for example. Even when we're right in front of them, showing what we can deliver, there's still that preference to outsource the work to a company like IBM. So one of the first challenges we had to overcome was proving our capacity. We needed to demonstrate that what we're building meets the same standards of quality and reliability they expect from established global companies.” @blockopsx

Big Congrats @timmyisagod 🚀🚀🚀
Excited to share that Evolution has joined Nuvion @ournuvion 🚀 When we started Evolution, we had a simple vision: make moving money across borders easier and more accessible for individuals and businesses, enabling them to go Global from wherever they were. We believed that accessing global financial services shouldn’t be complicated simply because of where you live or where your business operates. What started as a platform for exchanging digital assets grew into something much bigger. We built infrastructure that enabled people and businesses to hold multiple currencies, receive international payments, move money across borders, and access financial tools that were previously out of reach. Along the way, we served thousands of users, processed millions of dollars in transactions, and learned firsthand what it takes to build financial infrastructure in emerging markets. But more importantly, we saw just how much work remains to be done. As we continued building, one thing became increasingly clear: solving cross-border banking challenges at scale requires more than a great product. It requires strong financial infrastructure, regulatory reach, and the ability to serve businesses wherever they operate. That’s what makes this next chapter with Nuvion particularly exciting. Nuvion is building an AI Powered Global banking platform for ambitious businesses, bringing multicurrency accounts, international payments, FX, virtual cards, and stablecoin infrastructure together in one place. Our visions have always been closely aligned, and joining forces gives us the opportunity to pursue what we started at Evolution on a much larger scale. For me, this is an opportunity to take everything we’ve learned building Evolution and apply it to something with the infrastructure, reach, and ambition to serve businesses around the world. I’m especially excited that members of the Evolution team are continuing this journey with me at Nuvion. We’ve spent years building, solving difficult problems, and learning together. Now we get to bring that experience into a much bigger mission. To everyone who believed in Evolution, our early customers, investors, partners, community, and the incredible people who contributed to our journey: thank you. You trusted us when we were still figuring things out, challenged us to build better, and helped turn an idea into a real business. I’m incredibly proud of what we built, and even more excited about what comes next. Evolution was never just about building another fintech company. It was about making global banking accessible for the people and businesses who need it. That mission continues at Nuvion. The Job is just starting

Every single time I pick up my phone to tweet about a horrible experience I’m having as a founder. I remember the great words of BB and go back to work…“if you no make am, no evidence”

Everyone wants to have solved a hard problem, but almost nobody wants to live inside the grind of actually solving it. The breakthroughs belong to the few who are obsessed with the process, not just the idea of the outcome

. @haroldsphinx on how Blockops is simplifying access to onchain finance for traditional financial institutions through Onchain Stacks. "Onchain Stacks is basically everything you need to bridge traditional finance to onchain finance today, accessible through one API." "Think about banks, asset management firms and other traditional financial institutions. Today, everyone is looking at stablecoins, onchain yields and asset tokenization and asking, ‘How can we come on board?’" "Ideally, for these institutions to participate, they would need to set up their own blockchain nodes, indexers, wallet infrastructure and integrate with different service providers. That's a lot of infrastructure to build and manage, especially when their primary focus is running their financial businesses." "What we've done at @blockopsx is compress all of these into one vertically integrated infrastructure stack." "Whether it's stablecoin infrastructure, payments, onchain yields or real-world asset tokenization, the idea is to make all these financial primitives accessible through a single API." The bigger idea is simple: Financial institutions shouldn't have to become blockchain infrastructure companies to participate in onchain finance. @onstacksglobal

. @haroldsphinx on the problem that inspired him to start Blockops “When I started Blockops, the idea was simple. Here was this new technology called blockchain, but the barrier to entry was very high.” “I wanted Blockops to be the DigitalOcean for blockchain, a platform that lowers the barrier to entry and makes it extremely easy for anyone to build on the blockchain.” Because the real value of blockchain isn't just in the technology or what its white papers promise. It's in the applications people can build and the problems they can solve with it. @blockopsx

. @haroldsphinx on what it takes to build and maintain the infrastructure powering onchain products at Blockops. “The work we do is foundational to the consumer products you see today, and that makes our work very delicate. If anything happens to the foundation, everything else comes crumbling down." "We’re essentially building the infrastructure powering different use cases, whether that’s global remittances, neobanks, real-world asset tokenization or other onchain protocols." "There’s the software, and then there’s the infrastructure. The software lives on the infrastructure. That’s where it comes to life." "Building and maintaining that at scale requires a tremendous amount of work. Even when everything appears calm, there’s always something happening behind the scenes. Our responsibility is making sure that calmness remains.” @blockopsx
