Dentro hilo.

They roll their eyes, participate reluctantly & only if forced, and quietly despise the person who's wasting their time and making them feel like idiots. Hard to see how that's motivating or effective. 2/2

The "games" and other "fun" things that extrovert SMs who have never been developers sometimes impose on introvert teams are not helpful. Most programmers I know hate gamification. 1/2

This is not a “dilemma.” If you’re still getting paid, and you employ housekeepers, they get paid and you clean your own house right now if you’re able bodied. It’s not even a little bit of a close question about the right thing to do. google.com/amp/s/www.nytimes…

One core metric I use for #DigitalTransformation is the ratio of people creating work to the ones doing work. The results are shocking, in many organizations you can find 5x - 10x if you don't count externals.

From the point of view of most large corporations, Agile is a virus that will destroy the organism. As such, it will do everything it can to mutate that virus to make it harmless.

Business is not war. Don't *target* customers. Don't *fight* for talent. Don't *capture* a market. Don't hire *head-hunters*. Don't pick your *battles*. Don't make a *killing*. Eschew the language of war. Put your mind in a positive place. basecamp.com/books/calm

It's unfortunate that "productivity" is often defined as making the code larger. Sometimes, the best use of our time is to make the code smaller. Get rid of the stuff that's not doing anything, that's never executed. Makes everything easier.
