What Mayor Burnham means is that he doesn't know how to because he only plotted how to steal the top job but not how to actually do it.
AntonyD retweeted
It is official. Andy Burnham is a far worse prime minister than Keir Starmer (or anyone). There were some signs of that before he started on the job. How nice of him to prove it.

Nothing says 'Champagne socialist' more than getting your staff to have planes diverted for you at massive cost to the taxpayer.....

If you take away his ego there will be nothing left. This is who he has always been, a blowhard with no real convictions apart from self promotion. That's why Labour members rejected him, twice, and why he avoided a leadership contest this time.

I have about as much sympathy for Allison Pearson's job as she did for the NHS worker and tried to have dismissed because he said some things she didn't like.

He didn't come to the Premiership by fair means. The membership turned Burnham down twice. He lied to Starmer and the NEC about being not being a threat to either. The route he then took by overturning a democratically elected leader and government marks him as dishonest.

I have heard it from far better people than you and they were wrong too. What I enjoyed was seeing you running away from an argument about Brexit because you would rather talk about anything else. And I loved the smile being wiped from your face when the young woman tore apart your net zero BS. You’ve not nice suits and nice shoes but you’ve got
more chance captaining the Sri Lankan cricket team than you have of becoming Home Secretary.

Very enjoyable evening in Warwick with an audience clearly supporting the idea that Brexit was a disaster and net zero is the only way to go. Nice of @libdemdaisy to be there on her birthday! We all drank to her health afterwards apart from @ZiaYusufUK who legged it with his status symbol bodyguard. Fascinating to see how he did not make a single positive argument for Brexit. They never do. He has lovely shoes though, but a very weak handshake which is never a good sign in anyone.
Tonight, Question Time is in Warwick
Joining Fiona on the panel are Emma Reynolds, James Cartlidge, Daisy Cooper, Zia Yusuf, and Alastair Campbell
Watch at 9pm on @BBCiPlayer, @BBCSounds & the @BBCNews channel, 10.40pm on @BBCOne

Wanted to share this from a very talented writer called Mick Flaherty so funny.
THANK YOU, CHANCELLOR. THANK YOU SO MUCH. 🇬🇧❤️
I’ve been reading today’s Budget and I’m considering cancelling my direct debits. Financial independence is finally within reach.
🥒 Cheaper gherkins, baked beans and chocolate. Potential savings of £21 a year - that’s 40p a week. I’ve already rewritten my will. My son gets the house, but the gherkin fortune is going into a trust fund. I’m not having the little bastard blow my life’s savings on cocaine and scratchcards.
🍬 Import tariffs scrapped on boiled sweets and toffees. Thank Christ. I’ve seen pensioners outside Aldi exchanging sexual favours for a bag of Werther’s Originals.
🍊 Cheaper marmalade. Excellent, ‘cos I’ve been spreading Vaseline on my toast since March. Paddington Bear’s probably knocking one out behind King’s Cross.
🧄 Cheaper garlic. Fantastic!! I’ve been buying it one clove at a time from a bloke behind Aldi. Last week he offered me three bulbs and a handjob for £20.
💷 Income Tax thresholds frozen until 2031. Absolutely beautiful. Earn a bit more, get dragged into paying more tax, then watch the Chancellor congratulate himself for helping working people. It’s the financial equivalent of being mugged, having your trousers stolen and being handed a 40p voucher for gherkins as compensation.
🍫 Cheaper chocolate-covered wafers. I’ve already ordered a reinforced safe, appointed three trustees and instructed my accountant to establish an offshore wafer portfolio in the Cayman Islands. Apparently, HMRC wants to know why I’ve declared a KitKat as a dependent.
🚌 Bus fares capped at £2. If my business ever collapses, I can now afford to travel to the Jobcentre and explain that I went bankrupt despite unprecedented savings on fucking marmalade.
💡 Gas standing charges being scrapped. Lovely news, until you find out the cost is being transferred to the price of the gas itself. That’s the financial equivalent of a burglar returning your television and charging you £45 to watch it.
Anyhoo… the government calls some of these its FIVE EVERYDAY FIXES.
I’ve calculated that if I save 40p every week, I could afford a second-hand Ford Fiesta in approximately 400 years…. Assuming nobody’s eaten the fucking gherkins.
Thank you, Chancellor. You’ve saved the country. I’ll name my first jar of marmalade after you. 🇬🇧

Translation: I couldn’t be arsed to attend for prayers, so lost my right to that place; I thought I could just waltz in hours later because I’m an entitled prick: there was plenty of space but I prefer to play the victim and find a way to make Budget Day all about me.

Let them eat gherkins. 😑
Chancellor John Healey will remove import taxes on marmalade, gherkins and more than 100 products in a move to give families "breathing space" with the cost of living in the Budget.
Peter Ruddick told #BBCBreakfast about other changes that will impact motorists, carers and self-employed fathers

Absolutely correct
He says nonsense yet cant give a reason!?
Exactly like Johnson and Farage apologists and their ignorant voters?
He does not understand that you can support a Labour party but can agitate when they have a treacherous coupster in charge who needs outing!

I think the penny is starting to drop across the media.
Burnham is quickly making a name for himself with his backtracks and blunders.
@dodgson_sally and I talked about it last week.

Burnham doing it “differently” appears to be.
Incoherently
Incompetently
Re-announcing policies already announced by Starmer and Reeves
And everything he says, No 10 have to clarify and U-turn on after he speaks.
What they did was unforgivable.
Labour would have won.

It's difficult to describe how much of a stupid bastard you must be to want to opt out of bowel cancer screening.
From someone who has been through it, use every opportunity to get checked.
