This is right on.
Conservative commentator @SykesCharlie on Donald Trump: “The man is a pig who despises and uses women"

WOW! Republican Lieutenant Governor of Georgia, Geoff Duncan, is voting for Joe Biden in November: “Unlike Trump, I’ve belonged to the GOP my entire life. This November, I am voting for a decent person I disagree with on policy over a criminal defendant without a moral compass.” This is just the beginning!

We still want this, don't we? This democracy, these freedoms? I feel like we do. Do we? You know ,it all falls to us. Not to the courts and not to Congress. You and I ,if we are like minded,we have to vote against those who want to install an authoritarian dictator. If Trump returns to the Whitehouse he won't leave. There will be no more elections. He will declare martial law. This is not a test run. This is a test to see "...whether that nation or any nation so conceived and so dedicated can long endure". Not in my lifetime has a choice been so clear and so critical. America has had failings but if Trump is elected America has failed. #VoteBlue2024ProtectDemocracy #TrumpIsATraitorAndCriminal #VoteBidenHarris2024 #VoteBlueToProtectWomensRights

This.
Imagine publicly wishing your estranged wife a happy birthday from the criminal trial where you had affairs and sex with not one, but two other women, and then paid to conceal it NOT from your wife, but from voters. And you want to be PRESIDENT?!? What a POS.

A conversation I have every day with a Trump supporter: Me: "He's been charged with repeatedly falsifying business records." Him: "He's being treated unfairly. It's political persecution." Me: "Ok. He's also been charged in another case with purposely taking classified documents, refusing to return them, & then covering it all up." Him: "He's being treated unfairly. It's political persecution." Me: "Ok. He's also been charged in another case with pressuring Georgia election officials to overturn their election results." Him: "He's being treated unfairly. It's political persecution." Me: "Ok. He's also been charged in another case with conspiring to defraud the United States, stop an official proceeding, & prevent the peaceful transition of power." Him: "He's being treated unfairly. It's political persecution." Me: "Ok. In ALL of these cases?" Him: "Biden is behind all of it. They're all tied together." Me: "But these are all completely separate crimes coming from completely separate prosecutors in completely separate jurisdictions." Him: "They're all Democrats." Me: “Is he responsible for ANY of it? Him: “He’s a threat to the system. That’s why they’re trying to take him out.”

Why did the court even take up this non-question of immunity?
So far, Trump Attorney D. John Sauer has told the Supreme Court that the president should have immunity if he orders the assassination of his political rivals and if he orders a military coup. I hope Americans are paying attention because this is absolute authoritarian insanity.

“Desperate in his fortune.” 💯
The Founders did not want “a man unprincipled in private life,” “desperate in his fortune,” “despotic in his ordinary demeanor,” Someone who scoffs at “the principles of liberty,” and “falls in with all the nonsense of the zealots of the day.” In short, they did not want you.

I hope Tom writes this up into a column and gets it published on @Deseret, because it seems like something that could beneficially resonate with important parts of that audience.

Kind of the same way your neighbor exercised his “free speech,” senator.
Senator, this has nothing to do with criminalizing speech. And you know it. This has everything to do with participating in a conspiracy to overthrow the results of an election. Shame on you.

He’s being prosecuted because he took an active part in the conspiracy to defraud the United States and to solicit false certifications for fake electors. It was his choice to step outside his duties as chief of staff and outside the law to help attempt an autogolpe.

Mitt Romney on Trump criminal cases: "Did he bring this upon himself? Yes...I don’t know if they’ll reach a judicial conclusion that finds him guilty, but he could have avoided this very simply by following the same kind of ethics and path that has been followed by every president that I know of going back to Washington."

The bottom line:
All of this is happening because Donald Trump didn’t have the courage, the decency, or the basic love of country to simply accept an election loss.

Truth.
The 2020 election in Georgia was not stolen. For nearly three years now, anyone with evidence of fraud has failed to come forward - under oath - and prove anything in a court of law. Our elections in Georgia are secure, accessible, and fair and will continue to be as long as I am governor. The future of our country is at stake in 2024 and that must be our focus.

This sums it up nicely for Sen. Cruz.
Replying to @tedcruz
What we've never had is a President so thoroughly corrupt to his very core. Not only has a former President been indicted, he has been indicted 4 times now, and has been found liable of sexual assault, and has more civil suits pending. The sheer audacity to continue to try to not only excuse Trump's criminal acts, his attempting to undermine the foundations of our nation, but then to continue to further undermine our nation and our justice system as a weak pathetic ploy to protect a conman. Do you truly have no shame at all Mr. Cruz? Do you care so little for our nation that you would rather see it destroyed than admit you supported a wannabe authoritarian? Trump is a criminal, a traitor, and only cares about himself.

Trump is too vindictive, childish, triggered, and selfish to be president.

Based on what I’ve been hearing, the threat of violence in this country these next 14-15 months is greater than it was before January 6th. And just like on January 6th, this person right here wants violence.👇
