Thanks to @roguewolf007 for capturing a great picture of T O ELVIS as well as me in the background looking oblivious.

The UK betting market on racing is in decline
Japan bets nearly twice as much on racing as Britain does: £21.5bn a year against £11.0bn.
Hong Kong, with a population of about 7.5 million, bets more than Britain too.
What Japan and Hong Kong have in common is that racing runs the betting. The pools belong to the sport, and the takeout goes back into prize money and racecourses.
If British racing owned its own pool or exchange, would you bet with it?

T O Elvis will keep racing overseas after his historic G1 Breeders’ Cup Sprint win
Trainer Daisuke Takayanagi: "No need to force him up to a mile. Rather than fit him to Japanese racing, we'll pick the races where he can show his best at his ideal trip."

The global people’s horse…FOREVER!🫶🫶🫶🫶
I’m sad he didn’t get to turn in the final performance I know he had in him. He is an amazing horse nothing can take that away. And I’ll say to the end of my days he’s still one of the greatest horses of all time. And I’ll fight you if you say otherwise. Love you, Forever Young. It has been an amazing journey together.

Robert Dolan, a 45-year-old financial services advisor from Saratoga Springs, NY, goes all-in on bets involving The Puma in the Breeders’ Cup Classic and wins the thing with a total of just over $140,000.
Friends..I know it’s late but tonight is the TENNO SHO AUTUMN (2000mT)!!! Croix Du Nord is aiming to defend a 2nd place finish in the yielding turf Takarazuka Kinen last out on 6/14. I’m all in that he can turn it around vs formidable foes including Masquarade Ball, Danon Decile, Regaleira, Shake Your Heart, and Seiun Hades!! I think he is worthy but it’s a deep field of 17 to navigate. #天皇賞秋 #betJRA @NYRABets

Sovereignty was a made stallion last year. He could have retired when forced to scratch from the Classic last year. Instead, connections brought him back and it culminated with a Classic win at age 4. We have enough stallions. We need racehorses. Grateful to have had Sovereignty again this year and hope others are encouraged to do the same in the future.
