Sorry guys. Software engineering and programming are dead. You just need to have perfect specs, unchanging requirements, an agentic deployment framework for high frequency releasing, and engineers with good taste and judgement.

It was marketed as:
- 2 years until permanent underclass
- you’ll all lose your jobs
- your skills will be worthless
- we’re going to replace you
- your entire career is now a $20/month subscription
All in an already terrible job market btw. Possibly the most important technology humanity has ever built, with some of the worst marketing imaginable. The labs completely failed communicating the tech, miserably bad and only improved just end of last year. How did anyone expect that to make people excited?
Interesting take. I’m even seeing my R family members advocate to rally around common issues they would compromise on like Medicare for all
I have voted Dem all my life, and only in this most recent cycle voted Republican.
I have to say, Republican voters handle total annihilation way better than dem voters. The discussion is about how badly the GOP fucked up, not about wanting people to die or anything like that. And nothing gonna be set on fire.

One positive outcome of the blue wave: Maybe the left can finally stop shrieking about a “fascist takeover,” and the “No Kings” crowd can put down their protest signs.
Turns out Trump isn’t a king, America isn’t a fascist dictatorship, and our democratic institutions are working just fine.
Imagine that.

We're moving away from individual secrets, MCPs, and workflows that live on each person's independent agent setup, and unifying them so the team can agree on how agents should behave.
One set of model selections, one secrets / MCPs definition, one dashboard to track cost and quality… everything. It moves engineers away from tweaking their personal setups, and towards proposing changes that the whole team can benefit from.
Key thing here is “says”
They both say and never do shit for anyone

AI is rough if you're a software engineer who loves the engineering more than the software. It’s incredible for those that care more about the end result than how it was built. Make the shift.

Maybe Redux, or a Redux-like framework needs a comeback
Having state in ONLY ONE PLACE sounds pretty beneficial to agents
I.e. restrict the decision space, only allow one way of doing things
Why are people so concerned with Claude watermarks??
Literally every Ai policy I’ve ever read says to disclose when and how you use Ai
Snitch layer? More like promotion layer. Everyone begging people to use these tools
anthropic is about to watermark the text claude writes for you, worldwide, starting tuesday. the detector goes to regulators, journalists and big enterprises. everyone except the person who paid for the text.
so your cold email, your linkedin post, the resume you rewrote three times can get flagged as claude by some hr tool or editor, and you can't even run the check yourself to see what they'll see.
openai only does this in the eu. anthropic rolled it out everywhere.
you pay them monthly and they build a snitch layer on top of your work.

life becomes so fun when you start treating random strangers like homies youve known since you were 7. everyone is so shy, nerd necking staring at there shoes. when you rip people out of their zombied state of shyness you can literally see their brain get watered for the first time in 10 years.
