My unpopular opinion is that NYC does not have a food item we are known for. HEAR ME OUT! If we did, it would be easy to find in any of the 5 boroughs. Pizza, bacon egg and cheese (chopped cheese is NOT a staple item, that is relatively new) we don’t have anything!!
