AI was supposed to make us work less
I've never been this tired in my life
most days I have up to 10 agents running at the same time. one fixing a bug, one writing pages, one refactoring something I already forgot I asked for, 3 other I have no idea what they are doing but i suppose i ask it?
and I jump from conversation to conversation all day
compared to 5 years ago, I probably context switch 100x more
by the end of the day my brain is fried. completely toasted. nothing left, not even for the people I love
I call it the fried brain effect
thought it was just me but almost every founder I talk to lately says the exact same thing
we got superpowers, and somehow the pressure only went up. if you can ship 10x more, you feel like you have to ship 10x more. every single day
I don't have a solution
honestly I have no idea where this goes from here
anyone else feeling this?

PSA: 49 days left until Black Friday.
If you’re building consumer apps, plan accordingly. In the next few weeks, submissions to the App Store will be delayed. Sometimes, weeks or worse.
Double check your paywall & onboarding flow. Submit early and set the build to manual release.

people might think this sounds great - it is in theory
but in actuality it’s a disease of the eu (and swedish) startup ecosystem - people focus on applying to grants instead of talking to users and making something they want
Up to €2.5M.
Zero equity.
The EU's EIC Accelerator gives startups a grant of up to €2.5M and the grant takes 0% of your company.
On top of that:
- Optional €1M–€10M investment from the EIC Fund (this part is equity or a convertible loan)
- Coaching, mentors and investor access included
Who can apply:
- Startups and SMEs in the EU or Horizon Europe associated countries
- Solo founders who plan to set up a company can apply too
- Founders from anywhere else must relocate their company before the full proposal (step 2)
- UK founders can get the grant only not the investment
- The grant is once per company (2021–2027)
What they fund:
- Any field of tech (deep tech like AI hardware, climate, biotech, robotics, semiconductors is the sweet spot)
- Tech must already be validated, not just an idea (prototype to near-market)
- Grant covers up to 24 months of work
How it works:
→ Step 1: short proposal (12 pages + 10 slides + 3-min video)
→ Accepted anytime, reviewed on the first Tuesday of every month
→ Feedback in about 4–6 weeks
→ Step 2: full proposal → Step 3: interview with the EIC jury
→ Next review batch: Nov 3
It's competitive and takes real work but it's one of the biggest no-equity checks a startup can get.

Short proposals close every first Tuesday at 5 PM Brussels time (9:30 PM IST on Nov 3).

if you are in saas, pivot to service
service as a software
report -> action
people want things to be solved not just reported
Building in public is honestly a joke now:
- You post the first sale celebration post or a follower's milestone post to farm engagement. People reply with "congrats", but they genuinely don't care
- You ask people to upvote your product, they upvote, but they don't even open your website, as they don't care
- Most founders are crazy CHEAP. Unless you are selling the dream, they will rather spend a week building an alternative, rather than paying you $10
- Whenever you share a tactic that works, you get 10s of people copying you and making it harder to work
- You can have thousands of followers, and barely get any views and engagement
While at the same time, some coaches on Instagram make $10s of thousands of dollars with just 10k-50k followers, by building simple funnels and selling high-ticket.
Don't get me wrong, I still believe in build in public content and community, and it GAVE ME a lot over the last few months.
But tell me, what's the point of building in public content on X over filming reels and selling high ticket?
"Ran a meme page for 2 years. 230K followers. here's the real economics"
"230K followers. Entertainment/relatable humor niche. Took about 2 years to get here"
"Total monthly revenue: roughly $820."
