"Nigeria is going to suffer a lot because of the high population that we have."
@iamakpan says rising sea temperatures in the Atlantic Ocean could disrupt West Africa's monsoon system, potentially affecting rainfall patterns across the region.

Awesome, we need to scale it to the remaining countries! – at Uyo, Nigeria
WMO has updated climate datasets from 140+ countries to use 1991-2020 baseline. This is to support climate-sensitive sectors like farming and energy.
For long-term #StateofClimate monitoring, we use 1850-1900 baseline.
Tnx @NOAANCEI for support.

Currently tracking data of over 33,700 students, #Cambodia's STEPCam program gives insights on learning outcomes and dropout rates and allows for preventive action for at-risk students.

But that's true, we can't get out of this without cooperation.
#ClimateAction is being undermined.
There is a lack of ambition.
A lack of trust.
A lack of support.
A lack of cooperation.
And an abundance of problems around clarity and credibility.
It’s time to wake up and step up.
"we don’t know if a world of 424 ppm CO₂ is compatible with civilization ... The last time there was this much CO₂ up there was the Pliocene, roughly 3-4 million years ago."
We have to degrowth, rewild, invest in climate education, renewable energy, green transportation, etc. – at Uyo, Nigeria
Warming sea is causing rapid climate change. The Antarctic is undergoing severe melting against preindustrial era.
Humans are causing climate change and can be the solution.
When we invest in renewable energy, and other resources that drive climate action, the burden will be lessen for poorest countries impacted by climate change.
Sustained international cooperation is needed to accelerate the #CleanEnergy transition, help countries improve both energy security & affordability, and incentivize resilient, low-carbon growth.
