Lula stopped schooling after Grade 2 in order to work as a street vendor. One of the most remarkable political biographies, and a rebuke to those who feel that holding elected political office requires a minimum educational requirement.

Ukrainian-developed FPV drone simulator “Remote Reaper: FPV Drone” has officially left Early Access, with version 1.0 now available on Steam. Developed in collaboration with military pilots, the simulator focuses on combat FPV drone operations and introduces several features in its full release, including armored vehicles with modeled vulnerable zones, electronic warfare effects that can disrupt video feeds and control signals during the final stage of an attack, and a customizable drone editor. Version 1.0 also adds configurable weather conditions, custom mission editing, real-time flights with other pilots and a racing mode. Players can use FPV hardware or a gamepad with realistic flight physics, or opt for simplified controls using a keyboard and mouse. #RemoteReaper #FPV #FPVDrone #DroneSimulator

People need to understand this: these billionaire tech bros teach their children Montessori and Waldorf methods which focuses on teaching kids the ability to focus for long periods, think critically, and be creative, while they push attention-destroying short form videos and AI onto the masses and pretend it’s for the good of humanity. They understand that your ability to focus and be creative is the main factor of success in the future, yet design apps that degrade those crucial life skills. The average person must be aware of this and resist this at all costs.

Intelligence must draw on memory. The mind must not simply compile data — as an algorithm now does more quickly than we can — but recall lived experiences, which contain depths of meaning that only the human soul can recognize, and connect more deeply with the goodness of these experiences. Everything that is good begins “with the Spirit” and thus possesses a breath, a dynamism and a sense of communion that, once experienced, are engraved upon the heart. vatican.va/content/leo-xiv/e…

So far: >12.5m people in Indonesia exposed to haze, with smoke reaching Singapore and KL >170k+ respiratory illness cases >World's highest fire emissions in the first week of September (Copernicus) Burning peat releases carbon stored over thousands of years. Singapore's govt dating app runs on a Nobel Prize-winning game theory algorithm 👏 FirstDate uses Gale-Shapley, the 1962 stable marriage algorithm that won the 2012 Economics Nobel and still runs hospital residency matches and kidney exchanges today. how it works: 1 | your preferences and dealbreakers build a ranked priority list 2 | proposers offer to their top pick. receivers hold their best offer and reject the rest. rejected proposers move down their list. rinse and repeat until locked 3 | the result is mathematically stable: no two people exist who would both prefer each other over their assigned matches. "the app never showed us each other" becomes impossible by design the UX: • one match per cycle, zero infinite scroll • 72-hour decision window • contact info revealed only on mutual yes • Singpass-verified, so everyone is exactly who they claim (told my husband I'm annoyed I can't test it. his response: most people sneak onto dating apps, and here you are openly filing a product research request 🤣 ) commercial apps need you to keep swiping but this app is designed to get you off the platform. Singapore built the first dating app whose success metric is deleting its own users 💀 (fun game theory note: Gale-Shapley yields proposer-optimal outcomes - meaning proposers get their best possible stable match, receivers their worst 👀) public servants aged 21-35 only for now. interesting to see if state-sponsored game theory beats the free market (or rather, all the tinders and hinges out there) 🍿
I CALLED IT. It's happening y'all. The singapore gov has launched a pilot programme for a gov-run dating service. Looks like the pilot is currently restricted to just government workers for now.

I'm starting to get concerned that not a lot of folks (esp ones in power) are talking about our climate in the next few months. From November onwards, a lot of the PH will receive way below normal rainfall. We're talking effectively no rain for months in some places.
