If Meghan Markle’s dad were extradited to and tried in the Philippines for sex crimes, there will be an onslaught of foreign journalists who will fly to the Philippines and while here, just maybe, stumble into other significant stories as well.

Lula stopped schooling after Grade 2 in order to work as a street vendor. One of the most remarkable political biographies, and a rebuke to those who feel that holding elected political office requires a minimum educational requirement.

This may now be my set routine when going to Iloilo: Arrive in the morning and head directly to Sobredo’s (Ilawod) in Sta Barbara for a batchoy breakfast before class. The taxi driver can be induced to wait for you kung ilibre din sila ng batchoy. The best 90-peso breakfast.

Someone I know who’s incredibly famous has been able to get around in public in relative anonymity ever since wearing face masks became normal in the Philippines
"Years earlier, [Romney had] bumped into Zach Braff on a flight and the sitcom actor had given him a useful piece of advice: for most not-quite-A-list celebrities, a simple baseball cap and a pair of reading glasses were usually enough to avoid being spotted in public." One of the countless gems from @mckaycoppins' ROMNEY: A RECKONING

In March 2003 Pope John Paul II sent his envoy, Archbishop Laghi, to the Oval Office to implore Pres Bush not to invade Iraq. Bush put the letter aside w/o reading it and asked +Laghi to pray with him. +Laghi responded: "I prayed before I came here."
This is the image Trump wants from a papal visit. And this is a reason Pope Leo won't come while Trump is in the Oval Office.

Cenk, thanks for playing. Everyone knew Lindsey Graham was gay, yes. And since he didn't acknowledge this publicly, we assumed he was invested in keeping it private. This is why the entirety of this platform chided him as Lady Graham. We were not big Graham supporters, if you've paid attention at all. We rightly attacked him for wanting to bomb foreign lands every other week, and I supported his primary opponents. And no, we didn't know of or have some special insider knowledge of tapes or allegations of underage male prostitutes. The question is how long have you known? Were you planning on releasing this against him during the general before he died? Why are you attacking a dead man who can't defend himself? But you did release them now, so are you trying to implicate his sister Darline, as if she did anything wrong here? Do you have any proof that she was complicit? Are you suggesting she arranged his encounters? What exactly are you implying? Isn't it quite understandable, and plausible, that she disagreed with her brother but loved him nonetheless, as many families choose to? And that she likely had no idea about what he did in secret? How long have you been sitting on this nothing burger of an October Surprise, Cenk?
So, how long have conservative groups like @TPUSA known Lindsey Graham was gay and desperate to keep that hidden? How long did they know he had sex with underaged boys? Did they know about the tapes? Do they have the tapes? If they knew all this, why did they keep it hidden?

"The curators have indulged the contemporary ideological delusion that art can be experienced without reference to history, culture, context or idea. No museum I’ve visited is as relentlessly hostile to curiosity, exhausting and ultimately depressing." wapo.st/4BmpIVm

The physical evidence (ie, non-digital) was found in Cebu, reported by the son to Philippine authorities. The father had already returned to the US. Will Philippine authorities attempt to extradite? Could they? Instant bar exam question.

New tonight regarding bishops meeting with Trump in Oval: USCCB spokesman says: “This was not something that the USCCB organized. It is not affiliated with the Conference. I have no further information.” New report suggests Heritage Foundation (author of Project 2025) organized today’s meeting.

It may have well been particularly tragic for Lindsey Graham that he never got the chance to serve with Graham Platner in the US Senate.
🚨 BREAKING: Three male sex workers just came forward to reveal that they were paid to have sex with the late Republican Senator Lindsey Graham. One was UNDERAGE when he reportedly had sex with Graham.

Socratic method is an effective way to test if the student understood (or read) the assignment for the day. Socratic is usually deployed for that purpose in Philippine law schools. Whether this is truly "Socratic", others can debate about that.

The Socratic method, whatever the reason deployed, is time-consuming, especially for courses where the amount of ground that must be covered is not commensurate to the number of units assigned for the subject. This for me is the greatest disincentive to apply the Socratic method.

There is a relaxed way of doing Socratic. This is disfavored in PH law schools, where the student faces the same kind of scrutiny as if appearing before a judge or a tribunal. That roleplay helps prepare student for those kinds of scenarios, but is that truly Socratic?
