Today we commemorate the Chartist Rising, which happened on this day in 1839.
We remember the tragic events which occurred at the Westgate hotel, and those who came in the dark to pay tribute to the 22 killed in the name of democracy.

Today is #WorldStrokeDay.
In 2015 whilst playing in a Rugby League Cup Final, I suffered a stroke.
It’s vital that treatment is received early.
I’ve also had TIAs, it’s important that we can recognise the signs and that emergency treatment is sought immediately.
